The Pineapple House at Wailua is as charming as can be. This Kauai vacation home is located approximately ¼ mile from picturesque Wailua Bay. Rent your own kayak and launch it off of the private boat ramp on to the Wailua River offered for neighborhood use only.
The three bedroom 2 bath home is exceptionally furnished down to every last detail; creating a “Beach House” feeling with tropical décor throughout. Original hardwood flooring in every room creates a warm homey atmosphere. Each bedroom has French doors leading to the outdoor gardens. “Master” bedroom has a queen bed with tempurpedic mattress, air conditioning, flat screen TV & ceiling fan. Second bedroom also serves as a “home office” with complimentary internet access, queen bed, ceiling fan and air conditioning. Third bedroom has twin bunk beds and ceiling fan.
Kitchen is fully equipped with gas stove, full size refrigerator and all the amenities needed for cooking. Kitchen overlooks the garden with french doors leading out to one of 2 lanais and the professionally landscaped gardens. Barbeque using the outdoor gas grill and enjoy your meals outside on the picnic tables under the many palm trees. Outdoor Jacuzzi fits up to 5 and can be enjoyed while looking up at the stars at night. Outdoor shower is perfect for rinsing off after the beach and washer/dryer is located in the garage.
The Pineapple House is located on the southern end of Wailua; near the former Coco Palms Hotel. Central location makes this a great Kauai vacation rental with easy access to Kilauea, Anini, Hanalei Bay, Haena to the north or Lihue, Poipu and Waimea to the west. Kapaa town is a mere five minute drive for grocery shopping as well as a multitude of restaurants to choose from. “Neighbors” include Fern Grotto, Smith’s Paradise Luau and Lydgate Beach Park.
Once in the Pineapple House, you won’t want to leave. Enjoy the “homey” atmosphere, lounge by the outdoor Jacuzzi or lay out by one of the many lounging areas and enjoy a good book! Indeed, this Kauai vacation home has a lot to offer.

The Pineapple House is located next to one of the most sacred places on the island, the birthplace of the Kings and Queens of Kauai. Channel 3, the Kauai Visitor Information Channel has a 90 minute introduction to Kauai that features this Heiau.
Just steps from The Pineapple House, enjoy the Wailua River, a sacred river to the ancient Hawaiians, with it's beautiful sunrises and sunsets and water sports readily available: kayaking, water skiing and wake boarding. Popular Wailua River destinations are Fern Grotto, one of Kauai's signature attractions with a Hawaiian Village along the way and further up the river access to the trail to Secret Falls, one of Kauai's top 10 adventures
A five minute drive to Lydgate Park, a family favorite with a rock-rimmed pool excellent for swimming, rafting, and floats of all kinds. The pool is one of the best year round snorkeling spots on Kauai, for families of brightly colored fish feed along the rocky perimeter, so tame they almost swim into your hands.
The beach south Lydgate's lava rock pools is ideal for long walks, very beautiful and almost deserted. You can walk for miles on soft, fine sand perfect for walking, and you will have spectacular views of Kauai's coastline, particularly when sunrise or sunset paints the sky with gold and orange, and deepens the blues of the ocean.
Wailua Golf Course, rated the #1 Municipal Golf Course in the USA is a three minute drive away with mountain and ocean views.
Opaeka'a Falls, one of the most beautiful waterfalls on Kauai, are just up the road and easily seen from an overlook off of Kuamo'o Road. Walk across the road from the lookout point and up the hill for another great vantage point.
