Great place on the beach! Nice area, very clean, great pool and beach access! Made our first time to Kauai very enjoyable! Loved the location on the east side of the island. Definitely recommend!

After 4 years away, we were able to return to Kauai and Kaha Lani for some much needed rest and relaxation. Our unit, #119, was lovely and we enjoyed being on the ground floor, listening to the waves crashing! Also, our local visitors (the feral cats and the chatty roosters) would visit each morning when we first opened our sliding door. We miss seeing them. The grounds are so beautiful and we found ourselves enjoying the seas breezes and relaxing.
Kauai is our favorite island and we definitely hope to return within the next year or two. The Garden Island staff took good care of us, and we thank them muchly.

This was our first time to the Hawaiian Islands. The location of the property was perfect, centrally located and close to the airport, a good starting point to explore the rest of the island. The view from our lanai was amazing! the beach in front of the complex is nice and secluded, the surf was a little rough for swimming. We were close to Lydgate Beach which was wonderful and had a great swimming area. We wished the condo had AC as it was warm and humid. There were cieling fans and 2 oscillating fans that did help (we had maintenance fix the cieling fan in the bedroom). We purchased 2 more oscillating fans at Walmart which helped a lot (we returned them the night before we left). There are lots of chickens and roosters on the property and the rest of the island for that matter. The roosters do crow very early but we were able to sleep just fine.

Kauai Lani #119 was a beautiful and clean corner condo that was everything we could’ve asked for and more for our one week vacation. We were there the first week of June and the weather was sunny and the breeze was perfect so not having AC wasn’t a problem and was actually kinda nice in getting that full ‘island experience’. A word of advice bring your noise canceling headphones and white noise app if you want to sleep in but we quite enjoyed the whole chicken experience! Just don’t leave your door open you might get an uninvited guest! LOL Close walk to the uncrowded beach and pool. At night the pool is surrounded by lit tiki torches - very cool. Would definitely stay here again. Location is central to travel to other parts of the island and convenient to the coconut marketplace ABC store and many restaurants and shops. My personal favorite was Lava Lava Beach Club for that toes in the sand upscale catch of the day and good drinks. Mahalo.

This was our first time in Kauai. We've always gone to Maui in the past for our Hawaiian vacations and should have done more research on Kauai. We have no complaints on the VRBO we stayed in. The condo was in the perfect location with beautiful views of the ocean with a nice walking path along the beach. The condo was very clean. My wife brought a black light and she didn't find any areas to be concerned about. We enjoyed sitting and eating our meals out on the lanai with the beautiful views, and the seeing the roosters and chickens around the garden areas. We weren't bothered with the roosters crowing and my wife always sleeps with ear plugs and I recommend for light sleepers. We felt safe during our stay. Our only disappointment was that we couldn't go into the ocean across from the condo due to the strong currents and a rocky beach. We did explore some "beach pools" on the south and north end, but found the majority them small, too many people, too much debris on the beach, and the water looked dirty. In the future we'll go back to Maui since it has so much more to offer for us. We were pleased with our condo rental and its views, but not worth going back to Kauai.

Condo was as expected since we stayed in the same complex a year ago. Convenient in and out, access to the running path and Lydgate Beach with beautiful sunrises as I stepped out the patio door every morning. Perfect location on the island as we tend to split time on the north and south shores during the days.

We had a fantastic time at the Kaha Lani Resort. Our unit was beautiful inside - and even better right outside our door. With a toddler in tow, it was great to be able to run out the door to play on the grass and take just a short walk on the bike path to Lydgate beach with pools perfect for a morning swim. The rental was nice, clean, great location and beautiful view. A popular walking/biking trail in the back of the condo, to the left down a ways, is a popular swimming spot, and to the right, down a ways, a cool giant maze bridge. People complain about being woke up some morning from the Rosters but there are wild chickens everywhere on the Island. The only downside was no air conditioning, we are from Washington State, so not used to the high humidity.

The place was perfect. The pictures don’t do it justice. It was clean and well appointed, and the beach is RIGHT THERE! Centrally located, close to the airport (but not too close), and easy access to the whole island. Rent a car and explore—it was awesome.

The resort was great, right on the beach and a short walk to a large public swimming lagoon. My only suggestion for improvement is to install some blackout blinds or curtain on the floor-to-ceiling window next to the entrance door with the combination lock. The adjacent building has a night yard illumination spotlight that shines directly through that window which causes a lot of ambient light when the bedroom door is open to allow for cooling airflow which makes it difficult to fall asleep (the unit has no air conditioner, so the bedroom door has to stay open for cooling airflow).

Nice, clean place with beautiful views. We sat on the back patio and enjoyed the ocean view. Went for walks on the beautiful beach. We truly enjoyed the location and got the chance to really relax.

We had a wonderful time, and I feel like we chose the perfect spot to start our vacation in Kauai. We woke up every morning and went for a walk along the beachfront sidewalk. We were visited by a friendly kitten, and serenaded by the roosters! So many amenities within walking distance. And then so much more a short drive in either direction.

Our rental faced the ocean and had a stunning view. We could walk to the beach, to a Tiki Bar and even to Coconut Marketplace. It was so quiet and peaceful. The interior was decorated nicely and the bed was very comfy. Everything was clean and organized. We discovered on our last night in the rental that there were so many extras and supplies for us to use. There was a beach umbrella, beach chairs, a beach mat, snorkeling gear, and a few coolers. There may have even been more but we didn’t dig in the closet. This unit also came with beach towels, suntan lotion, after sun moisture, and even hair dryers. It’s a one bedroom, but there was a blow up mattress stored away so the room can fit at least 4 people comfortably.

My two kids and I really enjoyed this spot. Location was close to the airport which made it easy to commute when you’re arriving after a long trip. Lihue is a great central location on the island so you can go up North to Princeville one day and venture south to Poipu the next. Staying during the pandemic was almost a blessing because nobody was there and the kids practically had the pool to themselves. Being on the ground floor is so nice because the only thing you see is the water and trees. The kids were able to run around and chase chickens in the yard while I drink my morning coffee. The only real inconvenience was when the door code was changed too soon and we were locked out of the unit. The problem was quickly fixed and not too big of a deal.

The beach umbrella and chairs were kind of broken and dated so the kids and I contributed some new boogie boards for the next guests.

I would definitely stay here again! The staff was helpful everyday in order to book this trip for us, and we appreciate all of their patience and guidance with our questions!

We loved staying here. I miss the lanai! My kids loved the pool, Lydgate beach, the playground a few minutes away, the sand in front of our unit and watching the whales from our lanai. The air mattress was comfortable to sleep on. It was big, the same height as the couch. The kitchen was well-stocked. We would love to stay here again and hope to return in the future.

This condo is ground level and right on the ocean! It was clean and had a full kitchen we used to make Thanksgiving dinner. We could hear the waves crashing and enjoy our meals both inside or outside on the patio table. We are definitely planning a return trip to this unit. There were beach chairs, beach towels, umbrella, sand toys, and cooler we took everyday to the beach just out front and when we walked about 50 yards down the walkway towards the state park we found a quiet empty spot on the white sand beach where no one was out there. There’s a beach walk that runs for miles right on the water that we enjoyed and BBQ’s at the pool. We grilled up some burgers one day and ate them on the beach at sunset. We never even used the pool because this place was right on the sand!

Loved it, the unit was "as advertised" the location on Kauai's East Coast was perfect for access to the rest of the island. The "ocean front - garden level" access/views were awesome. Just a few steps past the chickens to the beach, although we didn't spend "layout" time on the this beach it was nice for walking, I found more golf balls than shells (Wailua Golf Club). The property was beautiful, the condo was clean with just enough fair quality kitchen utensils to use. Spices were in the cupboard with a few other needed items. The plate in the microwave needs to be replaced it wasn't made for the turntable it sits on, it works but not well. The property managers were awesome, very responsive and addressed any needs we had immediately. I would stay in this complex again and I would highly recommend it to a friend/relative. We did a "doors off" helicopter ride around the island (a must do for two reasons, you see this beautiful island and the doors off get you great unobstructed pictures. We used Mauna Loa they were safe and did a great job. We did the Blue Dolphin catamaran sunset tour, Chad was our captain, he was awesome, well worth it. And we did the Kayak tour up the Wailua River to Secret Falls, do the early morning trip to avoid the crowds!!! Anini beach was our favorite, plenty of beach, shade and calm waters to snorkel, the reef is about a 100' south of and even with the dead tree (you'll see it in the water). The beach chairs and coolers in the condo were a big money saver. If your going to hike bring your shoes!!! Trails vary in consistency. We mainly ate in but we did try the "Shrimp Station" coconut shrimp is great, battered shrimp is all batter. Bullsheds had a very good steak (I'm from Nebraska I know good steak). Groceries, COSTCO only, their prices weren't much different than Nebr. even the bulk priced items were better than WalMart. Use Safeway for fill in's and it's open 24 hrs. get the discount card.

We had a wonderful time during our stay at the Kaha Lani. We found our rental clean, comfortable and equipped with all that we needed for our stay. Our only suggestions would be to update the cushions on lounge chairs outside, additional bbq unit (the one in our area was constantly in use during the dinner hour and finally, air conditioning would have been really nice.

Beautiful view of the ocean out the front of the unit. With the ocean just a few steps away, we could hear the surf 24/7. Great location for exploring the entire island. Perfect size for the two of us, and having 1.5 baths was nice. The unit comes with several different sized coolers with ice packs in the freezer, beach chairs, umbrella, etc., which made packing up for the day very easy. Well stocked with plastic food storage containers and ziplock bags for leftovers, as well as all other kitchen supplies. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again on our next trip to Kauai.

Love this condo. We were able to sit on the lanai and watch the whales from there. The unit itself is well kept and the colors are bright and cheerful. The kitchen is well equipped and the bed is very comfortable. Being on the first floor is also a big plus. A great place to relax, enjoy the slower pace of Kauai and relax. We can't wait to stay here again.

This condo was absolutely wonderful! The view is stunning and it was easy to come and go as we wished. We were able to use the kitchen for most meals and enjoyed the ocean view with every meal. The bed was very comfy and it was nice to have a separate bedroom. Having a cooler, beach chairs and towels was a wonderful touch. While there wasn't a/c we did have a great cross breeze from the ocean and fully enjoyed the sound of the ocean. We would highly recommend this condo and will stay again if we get the chance to return.

Had a fantastic time enjoying the direct ocean view and taking long walks daily. Will definitely come back to this same place. Only con is for a 2 weeks, stay with 3 of us, they only provided 4 bath towels, and no extra bed sheets so we used it for 2 weeks. When people are on vacation, you don't expect them to wash bed sheets and towels. Also few trash bags. We ended up buying more. These are all essential especially if you have to do your own cleaning throughout your stay. In general, the location of room was perfect.

Wonderful condo exactly as it is pictured, right on the ocean with a running/walking path adjacent to your back patio. Very clean would definitely stay here again. All amenities found in the kitchen were useful. Sufficient supplies of towels and tp. The small cooler was very handy and we used it daily. We felt very safe on the ground floor as we did see Security roaming the premises around 9 pm. The laundry facility was clean and the use of a debit card is much easier than quarters (need to update the desciption as it says coin-operated machines and I brought quarters with us). The only thing that would have been better would have been a/c BUT with the ocean breeze most places do not have this. The humidity is something else that one needs to get accustomed to - 3 showers a day was pretty much a routine. Another bar of soap would be great too -- all in all no complaints!
Very efficient service in emailing us instructions upon arrival and checkout.

We would definitely stay here again - great location in the middle, approx 30-40 min to North and South end.

We loved listening to the ocean every night and loved the facilities of playgrounds, pool and Lyndgate beach park near by. I highly recommend this place. Supermarket is 5 mins drive and we cooked most nights on the grill near the pool. We will be back again.

We absolutely loved the location of this condo. We had our morning coffee on the lanai watching the sunrise. It was so peaceful and quiet. The condo was as described and had everything that we needed for our stay. Property was clean and well maintained. A/C would be nice but found that there were enough fans in the unit, that most times were still comfortable. We would definitely recommend this condo to friends and would stay again.

Completely satisfying ... we will return! Fully equipped kitchen, nicely laid out, closet with beach toys, short walk to Lydgate - a great family beach with lifeguard, showers, restrooms. Easy access to restaurants. Best condo in this complex!

We were very satisfied with the condo. Everything worked and we had the kids sleeping in the living room on the couch and sofas. the view is breathtaking, especially if you wake up at 6 am to watch the sunrise. No A/C, so you have to have the windows open all the time, but enough fans in the rooms. Everything as expected in this price range. If you want more comfort, book a 4 star hotel. We liked the Gas-BBQs around the property. They even have to next to the pool. First come, first grill...
Lots of stuff to take to the beach.
Very clean, no bugs.Fast wifi. TV is OK.

Aside from the fact that the beach chairs are all falling apart and the over abundance of pillows and linens eliminating much space and no kitchen towels or cloths or cleaning supplies we still love this place.

The paved path in front of the complex is great for walks and fantastic for strollers. Lidgate Park is a short walk down the path and is a beautiful beach park with a perfect lagoon type area for smaller children and a great playground. We also liked the proximity to Kapaa, which with thought was the best area for shops and restaurants that weren't too obscenely priced and had some character. Unit 119 was clean and comfortable and was nicely equipped with kitchen supplies, beach supplies etc. We would definitely recommend and stay again.

Location cannot be beat! The complex is very nice. It was our second stay at this unit, very comfortable but could be updated.

Cons:

No washer/dryer but laundry room fairly close by
Oversized living room furniture not comfortable
unless you're over 6 feet tall.

Beautiful condo. All the spices and oils etc were very nice to have and saved our having to purchase them as we have needed to at other condos. There were also many outdoor toys and snorkel equipment, in case guests don't bring their own.
A minor inconvenience was that there is no fan for the master bath and a tv in the master bedroom would be nice and there was another small stand alone fan that was out of operation, which I never called about it while we were there or I'm sure it would have been replaced.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it couldn’t have been better! Great views, super clean, great beaches and restaurants to walk or bike to. Highly recommend.
