We had a wonderful 5 day stay at this lovely place with an oceanview. The view from the property was spectacular and the location is perfect - walking distance to so many stores and there is a ocean front walking/biking path that we used a lot. The condo had everything we needed to cook a few of our own meals and was very nicely decorated. Our family of 5 would definitely stay here again.

The property is as described and we had a nice week there. There were lots of thoughtful extras on hand in the condo - paper towels, coffee filters, dish and laundry tablets, and even an air dryer for hanging clothes! These things were really a nice touch - I brought half that stuff in my suitcase because we are accustomed to staying places where those things aren’t provided. The location really is ideal for sightseeing all over the island and we loved having the Safeway across the street and also the Wailua Shave Ice which was the best shave ice we had our entire trip! There’s also an adorable downtown area with nice shops and restaurants less than a 5 minutes drive from the property. I had several questions over the course of our week and the owners always responded very quickly.

As advertised. Great location and oceanfront property. Can watch and listen to waves anywhere in this unit and especially great sitting on the balcony. The place works great for a family of 5. Serves as a great base camp to travel to different sites in Kauai. Highly recommended!!

We enjoyed our time in the condo. Central to all of Kauai. Plenty of room for a family of 5. Beds were exceptionally comfortable. Breezes and fans kept us cool. Loved having the beach gear, the drying rack outside. Would have been nice to have a towel refresh mid week.

We have been staying at Kapaa Shore for many years and most of that time we have stayed in 305. The unit has been updated over the years with new appliances, furniture and flooring. The best things about this condo are the location and the views. The north, south and west sides can be explored easily from this east side location. You can see all kinds of wildlife from the lanai so be sure to bring binoculars!
The unit is very clean and kept up and the staff at Garden Island Properties is always helpful and quick to respond to requests. We had a wonderful stay and look forward to our time there next year.

The condo had a wonderful view of the ocean. It was clean and in good shape. Sliding bathroom doors were a bit stodgy but they worked. Location was great: walking distance to Kapa’a on a nice foot-bike path, only a few miles up to Hanalei or down to southern points. It was a little difficult to find at first. Nothing indicated that it was part of a larger property, Kapa’a Shores, which has condos managed by at least 3 different companies, apparently. There was a living room, kitchen, bedroom and bath on the first floor, and a loft with bed and bathroom. Nice and airy and light, all.

The Condo was absolutely perfect the price was phenomenal the view was magnificent the amenities were everything and more. I wish I could have stayed longer, waking up to sit on the private balcony just Meer steps from the ocean was amazing and breathtaking, went to bed with the windows open and the door to the deck open with the screen door latched and hearing the waves crashing against the shore was spectacular. The sunrises and sunsets were so beautiful. Thank you for an amazing trip. I can't wait to come back.

We love it because of the views, proximity to the ocean and it is equidistant to almost all the places we like to visit on the island. We also love the Garden Island staff who are always so helpful and friendly. The latest upgrades the owner has made are great. We were very happy to see new living room furniture, new flooring and new kitchen! We hope to return every year!

Loved this updated condo. So cute and perfect view of ocean and swaying palms. Loved the bonus of chairs, coolers and beach towels. Wish there were some games. We bought ( and left) a deck of cards. Would be nice if the resort had tiki torches/ fire pit outside and maybe some outdoor games like the other resorts have. Overall great place. Got me in shape, going up and down 3 flights of stairs every day! Lol.

Awesome stay with gorgeous beach and coastal views. Best sunrises and one could also spot whales. Only downside was we lived in third floor and had no elevators to carry luggage.

A group of 4 friends spent 5 nights at our residence and enjoyed ourselves very much. We had a few problems (power, wifi) and the staff responded immediately and helped us solve things. This is a great place to stay.

Not spacious, but certainly enough space for 2 couples. Kitchen had everything we needed. The beach equipments extras (chairs, upbrella, cooler, etc)so handy to have. A little older property than expected, but everything had a nice clean coat of white paint. Longer haul than expected from car in parking lot up steps to #305. Everything in working order.

It is fantastic to be able to say that the only flaw we found with the stay was that there was only one Beach Towel in the unit. Not a tremendous problem, and everything else was as advertized. The water was RIGHT THERE, the sound of the ocean and the constant presence of the breeze keeping you plenty cool. Really amazing.

Kapaa Shore Resort is in a very good location on the east side of Kauai with many local restaurants, shops, and grocery stores nearby. It is also right on the water, although, the area isn't too ideal for swimming. There is a nice pool and hot tub right next to the ocean, but it opens at 9 AM and closes at 8 PM which was frustrating because we were gone exploring the island throughout those times everyday. Its not the unit owner's rules but the HOA's. Just one annoyance that could've made the experience better. The house was in decent shape, however, the upstairs shower handle basically fell off on our first day, the towel rack in the downstairs bathroom came loose, the fan in the downstairs bathroom was dirty and blew some dirt while running. The kitchen and living room areas were clean and functional. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but felt that a few minor things could've made the property much more enjoyable and guest friendly.

We stayed four nights in March 2021 and had great breezes through the condo from the ocean. Views of the grass across to the ocean. Quiet and peaceful. 10 minutes to the airport, 30 to Princeville and 30 to Poipu- very central to access most of Kauai. Great eats at Sam’s Ocean View a few minutes north. Also loved the walking path in Kapaa along the ocean. The condo was clean, comfy beds and easy access with minimal contact with others. Nice pool but limited hours- closed at 5:30 each evening.

We were very happy with our condo along the oceanfront. Our vacation didn’t slow down when we arrived at our home away from home. When we weren’t
driving around Kauai, we just opened the door to relax to the sound of the waves hitting the shore.
It rains frequently in this area (east side of island) in March so consider that when you are planning. NOTE: The area directly in front of the unit is NOT suitable for swimming due to the rock shelf and strong currents. There are plenty of sandy beaches nearby and the pool is lovely. We happened to visit as a major storm came through, and there has been flood damage in some areas of the island.
This is a third-floor unit w/o an elevator, so be prepared to carry luggage. The condo was well-supplied with all items for the kitchen and baths, including all consumable items. There was no coffee when we were there. There is a good place to pick up necessary groceries, prepared foods, and incidentals w/i walking distance. A shopping area w/ mall, WMT and COSTCO are a short drive away.
This is not a five star resort, but we were very comfortable.

This is an annual vacation for us. The best things about this property are the view, the sounds of the ocean and the location. We loved staying at Kapaa Shores #305. The condo had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The sunrises from the lanai were amazing. We also loved the big windows in the master bedroom. Overall was a very nice place to stay. They only drawback is there is no beach. The oceanfront is a huge slab of slippery rock. Not really suitable for children to play in the ocean. The view was fantastic though and the location very convenient.

Our recent stay at Kapaa Shore Resort was a follow-up to our first stay, at which time we were so impressed, that we decided that we had to return.
Alas, that first trip was 14 years ago! And, we had some concern that the beauty and the condition of the premesis might have aged considerably.
But, upon our arrival, we were so very glad and impressed to see that the condition of the living units was so absolutely fresh and inviting. Surfaces all freshly painted in quality high gloss paint. Floors, plumbing, electrical, doors windows were all in pristine shape. We were very pleased to see this.
Outside, intense beauty awaited, just like last time, with very little having changed. The only evidence of the passing years in the garden like grounds was the size and apparent age of the palms. These were much taller and more tempered by age than when we first saw them.
The provisions in the unit were all as promised, and the personnel were without exception, helpful, cheerful and most pleasant to speak with.
The location and the grounds are spectacular. The property is such a peaceful and beatuiful haven. No need to go anywhere else.
Yet, we DID visit other towns such as Princeville, Lihue and the southern locations. Kauai is truly the Garden Island.

Kapaa Shores #305 was everything we expected. Direct oceanfront, comforts of home, central location. Fall asleep to the sound of waves, wake up to the sound of waves. Coffee on the lanai in the morning was so peaceful. for those of you looking for luxury, this is not it. For those of you looking for a peaceful, comfortable place to stay, this is it! Mahalo!

This unit was absolutely perfect. You do need to be able to climb stairs. But the view was the best I've had in Hawaii. We could watch the whales breech from the lanai with our binoculars. All our needs were met in a beautifully kept unit. What a great opportunity. My husband and I loved it.
