Such a nice place! With in walking distance of a local market that has all the necessities and walking distance from a local beach. The closest grocery store, Safeway, is not that far away, maybe a 5-10 minute drive. Downtown Kapa’a is only 5-10minutes away With lots of local shops to explore. We really enjoyed our time staying here, it was quiet and private. The patio in the back faces the road but is completely private due to the trees and other foliage that block it from view. The kitchen has everything you’d need to cook meals if you feel like dining at the condo and not at a restaurant. We actually used it every morning to make breakfast. Both the bed and couch are comfortable. The pull out did have a bar in the middle, that made it not the most comfy, we chose to not sleep on that and just sleep on the couch with pulling it out into a bed. When my daughter got sick the day before we were scheduled to leave and we needed a later check out, the host was very accommodating.

This is a solid condo with a great location for exploring the island. Really convenient access to shops (ABC) and restaurants. Would recommend for those who prioritize value and having the basic necessities. Staff was friendly and helpful and the pools are conveniently located. Would definitely book again!

We had the absolute best stay at Plantation Hale. First time to the Island and we already want to go back! We found a gem of a condo and absolutely loved it! Super easy check in, plenty of parking, beautiful well maintained grounds, perfect location, safe location and the condo unit it self is so cute, plenty of room, very comfortable and very clean! I want the owner to come decorate my house- it is seriously the cutest with beachy/hawaiian decorations and comfortable functional furniture, everything you would ever need in the kitchen, bathroom, plenty of bath and beach towels, beach chairs, umbrella, etc! The towels felt so soft and brand new! Stocked with dish soap, paper towels, TP, first aid kit, etc just all the little extras it was nice to have and not worry about having to buy! I didn’t want to leave to go home! The separate bedroom from living room is a nice bonus incase one person wants to go to bed and the other wants to stay up a little/watch some tv! Quick drive to and from airport and ideal location. Not to far to do day trips to North or South! And perfect to enjoy Kaapa - walk a very short walk to the ocean, bike path near by, and walk to coconut market place- super convenient to have the ABC store less than a minute walk away! We went to ABC store almost every day! The bike /walking path in Kaapa is amazing- views are incredible! Kaapa has so many cute stores too! Also walking distance to restaurants such as Lava Lava Beach Club!! Our stay could not have been more perfect- we loved the condo, we were very comfortable there, plenty of room- comfortable bed! Decor 100 % made me feel spoiled to stay in such a beautiful condo! Quiet complex-very peaceful! Also laundry available on site incase you need it- nice convenience! Would recommend 10/10! Mahalo!

Affordable, clean and convenient condo in a good location to get around Kauai. 15 minutes from Lihue, 5 minutes from Kapa’a, 40 minutes from Hanalei, 35 minutes frok Poipu. Point being, nowhere seems too far out of the way from this spot. Inside it was super clean and comfortable. Kitchen had most all the amenities you need to cook meals. Only things I’d request for future visits would be a rice cooker and croc pot. Aside from that had all we needed. AC worked really well. Really enjoyed our stay and would come back for sure. Also a 5 minute walk to the Lava Lava Beach club which is a great beach front restaurant for the with live music!

This place was very cute! Very functional and in a great location. We could walk to the beach, several restaurants and get groceries all in 3-5min of walking. The only downsides were the air conditioning was only in the living room, so the bedroom was pretty hot. And there was one bug that we had to chase down. Other than that, this place was great! They even had an ice chest that we could take out, which came in handy several times.

Unit was great - very convenient to everything on the island - we were able to walk to Coconut Market Place that had lots of shop, restaurants & a convenience store/deli called Island Market - great poke bowls. Really appreciated the beach equipment in the unit - cooler, beach chairs, umbrella, beach towels.

The room itself was nice & it came with plenty of extras ( like coolers, beach chairs). The condo is in a convenient location near coconut market place with restaurants & other shops. And the property management company gave clear check-in instructions & were easy to get a hold of. That being said, there were a couple of things to mention- one of the hotel pools was out of order, don’t expect any help from the front desk staff ( only the association side around the corner but it was limited), & we had a few critter visitors inside the unit. I’m born & raised on the island so I’m fully aware of how the tropical climate is but I think due to the proximity to the large brush area & an unsealed window, spiders & roaches have easy access. Overall, we had a nice stay here, just have the raid spray handy.

We stayed here with our 2 year old toddler and had the best time! The property is beautiful and we really enjoyed having multiple pool options. It’s so close to the local market which made it so easy for us as well as walking distance to a few great beaches and restaurants! The unit itself was great for us, they provided all the beach gear we needed, AC, and a very comfortable bed! The location is a great point for visiting all sides of the island without spending too long driving. Had a great experience with the hosts and rental company! 5/5 Will definitely be back. This will be my first review of a vacation rental even tho we have stayed in many over the years.
First the pros of this unit: It was centrally located on Kauai for easy access to all parts of the Island. The pool and hot tub areas were close by and clean.The management company was great for communication and directions. The unit was partially updated with mostly new flooring , kitchen and bathroom countertops, sinks etc. The size of the unit was fine for a couple, except for the lanai. King size bed was comfortable. there was lots of towels, even beach towels and a cooler, beach umbrella and chairs even tho we didn't use them.
Now the cons: traffic noise was terrible as the unit was extremely close to the highway, and the lanai was only separated from it by a hedge.Bathroom floor tiles were dated and absolutely filthy, looked like the floor has not seen a wash in quite some time.The entire unit really needs a deep clean, and the very small lanai was also filthy.
There is no dishwasher, and we had to purchase a fry pan as there was only one very small, scratched one.The noise from the unit above was at times very loud at all times of day or night. We did have at least two cockroaches in the unit, and yes it is the tropics so that is understandable but not enjoyable.
Overall we still enjoyed our vacation but would not stay in this particular unit again.

Condo was very nice and centrally located. With the exception of the air conditioner that didnt work and the slow running bathroom sink. We didnt notify the rental company until we checked out because we didnt want to have to wait around to have a matainance man.

The room is perfect if you're looking for something affordable and don't plan on staying in the room very much. It's close to everything and the bed was INCREDIBLY comfortable after a long day of hiking. However, I do have a few comments. There were not enough towels left to cover the number of days we stayed and felt we should not have had to do laundry when we were paying for the room. Additionally, the DVD player was inconveniently placed in the living room rather than the bedroom where it would've been more appreciated. That being said, my one BIG issue was the stains on the bedding. There was a decorative pillow placed on the bed covered in stains. Why, when it doesn't have to be there, would you leave it on the bed with stains on it? Overall, the room was fine and I would probably stay there again, but some changes should be made to make the overall experience a better one.

Every building has a coin operated washer and dryer room should you need to replenish supplies. We also do offer for a fee towel and sheet exchanges. We are glad to hear you would stay here again! A good size unit with everything we needed for comfort and relaxing. Unit had indoor and outdoor towels, snorkel and beach gear, kitchen condiments and essentials. Was clean, plenty of comfortable furniture, lots of storage, cable TV & bluray and a memory foam mattress. Kitchen has good space, large fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and lots of different dishes. BBQs and laundry available on site. Two pool and hot tub areas. Lanais was shaded and private although the road traffic was very close. Staff very helpful and available. All in all, I found the unit had enough to be convenient.

This was our 3rd stay at Plantation Hale but our first time in unit B6.
We love how central to the island this location is and how close it is
to shopping. Unit B6 was pretty clean and set up the way most units
are but because of the way its set up the lanai faces a hedge so as
a result we didnt go out there much.Also the unit is close to the road
so its a little more noisy than some of the other units weve stayed4 in.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again!

Was very impressed with this condo and property.
Property is well maintained with a very friendly staff. The location is great with restaurant's and super market nearby. Condo has a great layout, and is well stocked for cooking also has beach towels. We watched the sunrise every morning from the nearby beach about 100 yards from the condo. Will be back for sure.

The condo was perfect for our 1 week getaway from reality. It's decorated so cute and tropical. The pictures don't do it justice. The kitchen is stocked with all the essentials for cooking or baking. The location is very central and close to a variety of shops and restaurants. Our favorite activity during our stay was Zip Lining in Princeville. We had so much fun! We had dinner at the Hukilau Lana Loungs & Bar Restaurant right next door to the condo and the food was delicious. We also had dinner at Caf Portofino on our last night in paradise and I would highly recommend this restaurant as well. Right on the beach of Kalapaki and next to Duke's Restaurant. I would highly recommend staying at the Plantation Hale, Ste B6 for your next vacation. Beautiful stay and great value. The owners are amazing people

Check in/check out was very easy and quick. room and grounds were well maintained and fully equipped with everything you need. Beach hear and cooler were a plus! Bed in room was comfortable, but the pull out sofa bed was NOT comfortable. Coconut marketplace was under construction but it was stil nice to be able to walk to some shops. ABC store and other grocery stores were conveniently located nearby. Located right along the highway, so a bit noisy but didn't bug me. I'd definitely come back again!

It was a great place to rent. We were happy with the location and didn't mind that it was close to the main road. There were snorkels, flippers, soft coolers and a beach umbrella that were great! Unfortunately only one beach chair and the body boards were broken. Otherwise everything was in good condition and we were very happy with our stay.

My daughter and I stayed here for a week and absolutely love staying in Kapaa. THis is our second time staying in this condo. The condo had everything we needed. So nice being able to cook when we wanted to. Plenty of space and very clean!! This condo has a warm, welcoming feel to it. The location is central to everything. Walking distance to the beach as well as Longs! The grocery store is only a few minutes away, as well as a Starbucks! Plenty of shops within walking distance. The property is landscaped beautifully. The staff at Plantation Hale are friendly and eager to answer any questions we had. We will definitely be booking this condo on our next trip!

We rented B6 for 13 nights for our friends. It was beautifully updated and perfectly furnished while the one we rented turned out to be old and shabby. Being on the ground floor was a plus with laundry room nearby and beach right across the street. This is our third time staying at Plantation Hale but first to rent a timeshare, with greatly discounted room rate compared to going through the hotel. We will definitely rent B6 for ourselves next time!

I enjoyed my experience in this unit , the cleanliness, location and amenities.
I did not like the lack of attention check in because I did not have accurate information to help me soon with access to wi -fi and other small questions . The only response I had from the beginning was : Direct solves the owner . After three attempts , I got a business card with your office phone that the attendant was able to help us by phone and also via email . The office service was great and helped us a lot in spite of our difficulty with the English language . This was the second time I have stayed at the Garden and hope to visit Kauai next year. It was worth a long trip from Brazil to Kauai. We feel at home. Thank you! MAHALO !

We enjoyed our stay at this condo. It was very comfortable and the location is convenient for seeing the island. We felt it was a good value and had no big issues with the unit. It was equiped with everything we needed. No dishwasher but we did not cook so it was not a problem. We enjoyed the very comfortable king bed. The living room furniture was very nice as well. No view as a ground floor unit. The lanai overlooked a large hedge. We were not bothered by the traffic on the road which was just the other side of the hedge. When we shut the windows at night we slept just fine. There is air cinditioning in the living room, but we never had to use it. The ceiling fans worked well enough to keep us cool. The complex had a very nice pool/ hot tub area very close to the unit and laundry facilities just down the hall. All in all, we had an enjoyable stay. Would recommend to anyone looking for a reasonably priced condo.

The central location of this property enabled us to see most of the highlights of Kauai in one week. Great restaurants and shopping close by, nice pools and hot tubs for relaxation after a day of exploring on the premises. All amenities were as advertised and service was very friendly. The unit was very reasonably priced, any issues were immediately dealt with and it was well equipped.
One big reason that we would not return nor recommend it to a friend is the fact that it backs onto a major road which is busy a lot of the time and generates a fair amount of road noise, but that was reflected in tne price.
The general location of the unit is excellent and within walking distance of supermarkets ( foodland, safeway and big save ) , and also very close to a newish and large longs drugs.
Plantation hale was well kept and the onsite staff were very helpful.
The location is excellent for accessing both the north and south of the island.
The coconut marketplace next door was undergoing major renovations but still hosted a twice weekly farmers market.
We enjoyed waimea canyon and wailua river cruise to the fern grotto, lydgate is very close for a safe swim protected by a rock encirclement.
Prices of food are high so we visited costco and walmart which were close by in lihue.

Pros:
Good location to see all of island (not too far of a drive to north shore, south shore, or west shore), Close to Costco/Walmart, Pool/Spa, Close to the beach, Kitchen had all we needed to cook our meals, Unit was a comfortable size for our family of 3, Property manager was easy to work with, Close to the airport.
Cons:
This unit smelled musty. There was evidence of a prior water leak under the kitchen sink which contributed to that musty odor. AC unit was located in the living room area so the bedroom never got cool like the living room did.

Our overall experience with our vacation stay was very good. The king bed was very comfortable and the unit had different beach items to use, which was nice. The blow up bed was nice to have and more comfortable than the sleeper couch.The only down side was my wife burnt her hand trying to pour boiling water from a pan into a thermos for tea. There was no teapot in this unit and I think there should be.
We loved it. Stayed for a week. Property was clean, and immediately felt like home. Air conditioning was cold and easy to use. Bed was big and mattress better than mine at home! Also had a friend stay for 2 days who slept on sofa sleeper in living room and said memory foam mattress was better than sleeping in a bed. The town of Kapa’a was great, lots of really good food options and shooing was very close. We ate a lot at the ABC store which is across the street and our favorite was Chicken in a barrel which was great BBQ and easy walking distance. This condo is only 100 yards from a nice beach. Highly recommend!!!
