Great stay! We enjoyed every moment of it. The unit is very clean and comfortable. There are 2 a/c units ( in the living room and the bedroom). The kitchen has everything you need. We really enjoyed the nespresso machine. You can purchase extra pods in any grocery store. Safeway was the closest. The swimming pool is just behind the building and the beach literally across the street. The location of the unit is fantastic! Some great restaurants are just withing walking distance as well as a little plaza with shops and little cafes. No parking issues or any other issues really. Every day was a great day! Definitely will stay here again!

We had a very nice stay at the Plantation Hale! The unit was clean and included beach amenities as well as yoga mats. The location is well situated between the North and South shores so it's great if you're planning to explore a lot of the island. There are a number of restaurants, cafes, and shops nearby making it easy to get food and supplies. The on property pools were nice and were rarely busy.

We had a GREAT stay! Kanani and her assistant, Sarah, were very friendly and responsive. The condo was clean and fairly modern. It contained everything we needed, including an iron and ironing board, beach towels, yoga mats, beach chairs, a beach umbrella, an ice chest, and all appliances we needed. The location was impeccable! We walked to the Coconut Marketplace several times and strolled along the beach just across the street. It's also very close to the airport, the Nepali Coast, Poipu, and plenty of shops and restaurants. The bed and sofa bed were very comfortable. There was a bit of a musty smell whenever you walked into the unit but it went away after a couple minutes and we didn't notice it. The place is very clean so it's probably dampness from the weather. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kanani's place and would highly recommend to others! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This place was incredible for our first time on the island. A very comfortable king bed with air conditioning in the bedroom made for a perfect reprieve from all of the outdoor adventuring we did during the day. The location was incredibly convenient to get to everywhere we needed to go within an hour, especially for busy days that started early and ended late. One of the biggest perks of the unit was the chairs, umbrella, and cooler that allowed us to settle in and enjoy every beach that caught our eye. 10/10 would recommend, especially with a host as responsive and friendly as Kanani! We will forever be wishing we were back on Kauai starting every beautiful day in this spot.

Cons: lots of homeless campers on nearby beach, bedroom smelled bad upon arrival, and until we put in air freshener.

We enjoyed our time in unit J8. It is well maintained with a cozy feel. There is a nice laundry room in the building also. The location is centrally located and made it easy to go north or south in a short amount of time. The only challenge was the “beach” across the road. It is not a nice beach at all. More like an impassable lava field preventing access to the ocean. Many homeless tents there also. Not a deal breaker, because of the numerous nice beaches near by. There is also a very nice shopping area within walking distance.

My wife and I chose to stay here for our "babymoon" and we were not disappointed with that decision. We wanted somewhere that felt like home to come back to after a long day of beach going, hiking, exploring, etc and this was exactly that. It's tough to decide what was the best part - the location or the place itself.

The location was perfect for exploring the whole island - nothing is more than an hour away and for the most part everything we wanted was within a 20-40min drive. The ability to walk onto the beach was amazing as well - we took advantage of that every sunny morning we had to enjoy the sunrise.

The place itself was well decorated and had everything we needed. Be sure to go to the room and look in all the cabinets before you go to the store - they likely have many things you think you may need.

Would definitely stay again.

My fiancé and I stayed here for 4 days and had the best time. This Airbnb is beautiful, spacious, clean, and comfortable. It’s also equipped with beach necessities which was a nice touch. It was a short walk away from a small beach nearby which was the perfect spot to watch the sunrise. We also saw a sleeping Hawaiian monk seal on the shore! Easy access to restaurants, grocery stores, and pharmacies. Would definitely stay here again!

We loved staying in Kapa'a at this listing! Easy walk to Lava Lava Beach Club, farmers market on Tues and Thurs at the Coconut Marketplace, and $1.50/day snorkle rentals at Boss Frogs. Great central location to get around the island, the accommodation is every bit as cute in person as it is in the pictures. Would happily stay here again!

This place was perfectly located about 1 block from the beach, the PLANTATION PLAZA and a market. It had access to all the amenities [hot tub, pool, beach, shops]. The inside was beautiful and well kept. Easy check in and check out. Only disconnect was changing some business between Property Management and the billing side [since we were forced to change our plans related to arrival date, due to torrential winds]

Unit J8 is a very quiet place. There is no garden view as it abuts a street, but it is quiet in spite of this. The memory foam bed is very comfortable. The furniture in the living space is very uncomfortable. The hide a bed is past it's prime an should be replaced. The provided beach chairs and umbrella were a nice addition. The pool area was nice and private. All in all a nice place but definitely not a beach resort. As long as you understand that it is a decent place to stay. Convenient to Kapaa shopping and the Coconut Marketplace.

This condo was recently renovated and is lovely! Loved staying here--Kapaa is a great jumping off point for the north and south sides of the islands if you feel like adventure. There are a lot of great beaches and local shops close to the condo. While it doesn't have a beach view (you face the street and a containment wall right outside), the beach is just a short walk away. The concierge was helpful and kind when we needed them, and the grounds and condo were very clean. This is a great budget friendly place to save money and cook your own meals while still being clean and comfortable.

My first impression of this condo was how clean and tidy and tastefully decorated it was. Having recently been beautifully remodeled and updated, it was a pleasure staying here. It was fully stocked with everything we needed and the bed was very comfortable! The location is very convenient with various shopping and eateries within walking distance and the beach is also only a short walk away. Everyone from the front desk to the groundskeeper to the property manager were friendly, courteous and helpful. We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay in this condo and would recommend it highly!

My boyfriend and I have been nomading while working remotely, and this was the perfect stay for our 2.5 month stint in Kauai. It was one of the few places we found that had two distinct places to work (a desk in the bedroom and the breakfast table in the living room). The sound didn't travel between the rooms, so if you have a party of two working remotely, you'll be just fine. The wifi was excellent, thanks to some quick and incredibly attentive support from the property managers. It was an ideal setup for two remote workers.

Outside of the work setup, the apartment is comfortable and the amenities are good. The kitchen is small if you're cooking most days, but it's well stocked.

Plantation Hale itself is great—there are 3 pools, two hot tubs, and several grills. The location is excellent, with a Long's Drugs and the Coconut Marketplace within walking distance. The front desk staff is helpful and friendly, too.

Overall, a great stay. Whenever we nomading to a new location I get nervous about wifi and the work setup. If you're in a similar situation, rest assured that this unit is a good fit.

We had a wonderful stay at Plantation Hale J8. It was within walking distance of the ocean, stores and restaurants. The condo was clean and comfortable and provided games, books, beach toys for kids, beach chairs and an umbrella. The only problem I had was the blow dryer didn't work. I did leave a note for the owner, since this condo was privately owned. The property management was very friendly and helpful. I would give a 5 rating for everything and would recommend Plantation Hale to friends.

Comfortable, cozy and large unit with EVERYTHING you'd need for a perfect Kaua'i vacation: beach chairs, umbrella, beach umbrella, cooler, full size fridge and all you'd need for cooking at "home." Spare blankets and sheets for the couch bed. Plenty of room to entertain, large patio, and walking distance from the beach, Coconut Marketplace and downtown Kapa'a! Overall this apartment unit is a good value and in a good location. Being on the East Coast makes it convenient to attractions all around the island.

The apartment unit is clean and has lots of extras like beach umbrella, beach chairs, and a small cooler. The kitchen is old and needs to be updated but it is well stocked and has just about any kitchen appliance you would need. My wife and I were there 2 weeks. They only offer housekeeping service if you stay over 3 weeks. A weekly housekeeping service would be nice but they only offer that for a fee.

The property is listed as ocean view. THERE IS NO OCEAN VIEW. The only view is of a tall construction wall between the unit and the ocean. The AC unit in the living room is very loud. You have to turn the volume of the TV up to hear it over the AC - probably to a volume that the neighbors upstairs can hear what program you are watching. Speaking of the neighbors upstairs...if they are heavy walkers, you will hear them in J8.

This condo is one of many we have rented in the last ten years. The two negatives of this condo were 1)very noisy A/C and 2)Uncomfortable sofa bed with holes in the sheets. We were aware that the dust fence would block our distant ocean view. We would have loved to have an easy chair since we had three people staying at the condo. We had to all sit on the sofa to be comfortable and it isn't a large sofa. The location is great and the pools were rarely crowded. the pool rules against eating and drinking are strictly enforced and it isn't fun to have to step outside of the fence to have a soda or much a few grapes. The BBQ area is directly on the opposite side of the fence so I don't quite understand the restriction. The new cable system was a pain the entire visit with repeated disconnections of service. Many people on the island seemed to be having problems with the change to Spectrum.

Convenient and central to family and all the activities we wanted to do. Perfect for a couple or small family. Only half of my family came so it was interesting having four of us share one bathroom when we were use to having multiple ones. Kitchen was adequate and had everything we needed, even a rice cooker! Within walking distance to stores, beach, and bike path. I would definitely stay here again. Only problem we encountered was our key card malfunctioned twice while we were there. Maintenance was able to fix it quickly the first time. The second time was our final night there. Maintenance had left for the day. It didn't matter since we didn't plan to go anywhere that evening anyway. They could fix it after we checked out. Had a view of the roadway and construction wall across the street, but having a ground floor was a plus. Laundry room part of each building so if the one connected to your building was full the next one wasn't that far away. 1.50 for wash, 1.00 for dry. Well worth the price. Thanks for everything!

An adequate middle-of-the-road rental unit in a good location. Could use a good deep cleaning. A reasonable value on this expensive island.
Pros: Good location. Roomy. Convenient gate built into the lanai railing and an outdoor shower for rinsing off just outside the lanai. Stores and shops nearby. Decently equipped kitchen. Appreciated the beach chairs and umbrella. Ample towel supply. Short walk to an interesting beach. Mattress was okay. First aid kit in the bathroom.
Cons: The unit could use a deep clean - dust on the irregularly textured walls, something blue and cleanable on the shower wall below the faucet, short bits of hair, maybe from shaving, embedded in the inside shower curtain. Wood-look floors could be cleaner. The bedsheets were some slippery polyester-y material and pulled up from the edges so there was a pile of wrinkles in the middle of the bed. Decor was tired - the guest book had a two-year-old comment about renovations but the unit didn't look like it had been renovated that recently. Right next to a street but it wasn't too busy and almost no traffic at night.

Perfect rental property! Kapaa was the perfect location on Kauai! This condo overall was very clean. The staff was great. The condo had all the extras (beach chairs, cooler, umbrella, extra pillows & blankets, soft sheets & comforter, hair dryer, toys, books, night lights, spices, cooking oils, plenty of pans, dishes, & tupeware) Even though the AC was located in the living room, there was a vent shooting air right from the AC into the BR which actually made the bedroom the coldest! We never used any of the pools or hot tubs because we were out adventuring all day and by the time we got "home" it was closed. (10pm) Everything closes early on the island and even the people staying at the condo turned in early. There was never any noise late at night or early in the morning, or really ever! Definitely go to the Farmer's market next door at Coconut Marketplace Tues & Thurs 8-12. We found the best souvenirs at the ABC store at Coconut Marketplace too. This was our first time in Hawaii (9 days) and when we come back we will definitely be staying here again, but for longer!

Reservation, confirmation, check-in and check-out processes were easy and professional. Location of the property and the unit were ideal; close to beach access and town amenities, and not directly on main road (foliage barriers).
The furniture was set exactly as photos, and stocked with most basic amenities for a short convenient stay. For my 3-week stay, however, many of the items ran out or low (toilet paper, paper towels, garbage can liners, foil, plastic wrap, etc.) and I purchased to restock. In addition, there weren't sufficient cleaning supplies available (access) to maintain and a large additional fee was required to have someone to come in weekly, so I ended up purchasing cleaning supplies, as well.
Crystal at the front desk was exceptional; friendly, professional, efficient, and generous with her knowledge and experiences. Marilyn at the activity center was also phenomenally helpful and pleasant, though currently she's traveling and no longer there.
Used the garbage and recycling, and parking daily; used the pools and hot tubs several times a week; and, the bbq grill once. All were good, with the exception of the garbage container being locked twice and over rowdy guests (unsupervised kids) in a pool area a few times. Grounds were constantly maintained and beautifully landscaped.
Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and I would consider returning and recommending to others.
