Kaha Lani is the only condo, etc., along Lydgate Park, so it's unique in this respect. Nice big lani, never felt cramped. Good ocean view from lani; we thought the building in front would be more of a distraction than it actual was, so that was good. Nice second lani, on west side by entry way.
Note there are steps to enter the unit (on the third floor). Like the tiki tourches lit nightly around the pool. Nice walking path in Lydgate Park. Great experience with the property manager (Garden Island Properties) this year and prior years. Short, convenient drive to airport. Would stay here again.

Loved the location. We love the beach so was close to many different beaches for swimming on the East and South of the island. So many great restaurants within a couple miles. Would definitely recommend a rental car if going anywhere. Condo was clean and as described. Management co. was responsive to questions and accommodating. Appliances worked great and laundry was convenient in the next building.

We had a great stay!! Loved snorkeling at Lydgate Park. So calm
And easy swimming. We rented bikes from /. They delivered them right to the resort and were just so nice!! We weren’t huge fans of Poipu beach (so rocky and the most crowded place) and actually preferred the north island beaches and Hanalei Bay!
The resort was great! So peaceful, and even though there were people there we often felt like we had the place to ourselves. Pool is great! Beach was a little rough right in front of resort but so beautiful and we could play in the waves there. Steve the security guard was so sweet and gave us some restaurant recommendations! Can not beat the view! It was amazing. We also did the Secret Falls Kayak/Hike with Kayak Kauai and it was amazing! Great service, great tour guide and the waterfall is magical! We did the fire show at the Hilton. Great food, fun show but probably not as spectacular as some of the other luau shows. Such a great trip and great resort! Central and an easy drive to almost anywhere on the island. Unit had everything we needed. Breezes were so nice, great view of course!

Overall good experience with great location. The only down side is the very early morning call by the roosters around the premises. No extra paper towels, shampoo, and bath soap. Sofa bed is terribly old and hard to sleep on (it's time to replace sofa/futon).

We had a very comfortable stay. Unit was clean, had all the necessary stuff. Washer dryer is right there ( downstairs). We cooked a lot, kitchen had everything possible. Pool is right in front of the property. We also loved the location of this condo - centrally located, Lydgate beach park is 2 mins drive, which is one of the best beaches. Totally recommend this property.

We stayed for three weeks and had a great time. The view from the balcony looks exactly the same as on the picture on the website.
The appartment was clean and well equipped. The property is absolutely well kept, the pool was clean and every evening the torches around the pool were lit - wonderful! The beach is really nice, too and mostly empty. The central location on the island makes trips to the north and to the south easy. Lots of restaurants and food trucks in Kaapa and 15 minutes drive to Lihue.

This property was perfect for our recent trip. We loved that it was walkable to Parks and swimming for the kids. We enjoyed the pool and that we were central to both sides of the island (with a drive). This area was not as touristy as others and I loved that, but there were still shops and restaurants near by. The condo was perfect. Not fancy but had everything we needed for our stay. Kitchen was well prepared to cook all our meals, Safeway was close by (5 min drive). This condo is on 3rd floor so must be ok with stairs. Great view of pool, lawn and ocean. Saw daily sunrise. Went for daily walk on sandy beach in front of property. Would def stay again.

It is not close to shopping, restaurants and attraction. Nice beach about a mile away. Great walking and bike trail. Unit needs to be updated and cleaned. Beautiful view.

This condo was the perfect location for us while we explored the Eastern side of the island. We loved how close to the ocean the condo was and the lovely path leading up to where the ocean meets Waimea River. It was right next to Lydgate Beach Park which we wished we had more time to spend time at. The condo itself was nothing fancy but was clean and had everything we needed (except for a crib for our infant).

Great place to stay, north of the airport and south of the Wailua River. It was clean and quiet. This unit is close to the office area, so during some people's check in, you could hear voices. But, that was not a big thing at all. Nice pool, washers and dryers take credit cards only.

What a lovely place to stay. The lanai overlooks the pool and the beach and is very relaxing. We enjoyed coffee on the lanai during sunrise and then went for long walks on the beach, just steps away. The condo was as shown, with attractive decor, and was clean and neat. The kitchen has everything you would need for your stay. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

Location can't be beat. We watched whales every day from our balcony. I thought the unit could have been cleaner and better maintained. The picture windows looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. One of the deck chair seats was broken. The floor was dirty and the broom in the unit had seen better days. When I e-mailed the management company, they were quick to send housekeepers which was nice, but it would've been nice to have it clean when we arrived.

The view from the deck is amazing although it is a partial view of the ocean because a smaller building blocks some view. It was nice to open the slider at night and have the sound and air flow in. The bed was comfortable but the bedroom was hot. I was appreciative of the extra fans. There is a window that opens to the parking lot. So trash day, the sound of people staying at the property coming in and going out, plus the sound of the metal rake from the gardener interrupted sleep. But of course any where on the island the roosters are your wake up call. The condo was clean, had everything we needed, and no insects or lizards crawling around which was huge for me. It’s a quick walk to a great beach for snorkeling with kids. Centrally located on the island for equal distances to the north shore and south shore. My biggest complaint was within all the communication, there was nothing said about needing reservations for the north shore state park. We drove all the way there and were forced to turn around because we were not aware of the new policy. We were told that the resort was supposed to inform us.

The view was exceptional. Sunrises were amazing from the deck of the condo or a short walk to put your feet in the ocean and watch the sun come up. Quick drives to wonderful spots to shop or just view the beauty of the island. would definitely recommend anyone to check this place out for their vacation.

Loved our stay , beautiful view , no need for AC with a constant cross breeze.
Bed was extremely comfortable with extra pillows.our adult aged daughter slept on the sofa bed and while obviously not as comfy as the king had no complaints.
Some minor appliance issues that we weren’t too concerned with however reported so they could be dealt with. Kitchen cabinets in need of an upgrade.
Overall clean and equipped with dishes etc... friends of ours also stayed in a separate unit that was well stocked with items in the kitchen where ours was limited to salt , pepper , oil & filters. Some plastic Tupperware or containers with lids & a cooler would be a welcome addition.
We found the management very responsive ( brought us tea towels when requested) we would stay here again

We spent 10 days in this unit. The online pictures are deceiving as the overall dcor appears very pleasant, however, the unit is very tired and needs updating. We realize the moist salt air is very hard on metal and fabric but with that being said, items should be replaced and updated. Rust appears on cabinets hinges, light fixtures, curtain brackets and mildew on living room furniture and lamp shade fabrics. Kitchen adequately furnished but the glasses foggy from multiple dishwasher cycles should be replaced. Coffeemaker drip basket was broker but the management company replaced it immediately. We had a wonderful time in Kauai and would stay at Kaha Lani again because the management company is very accommodating, the location and the grounds are well maintained, however, we would not stay in Unit 311.

The place was comfortable and very well located. The porch has a sunrise view off to the left and the view shown to the right. The sounds of the ocean are fantastic and the breeze gets through the place nicely.

We were heading there when Hurricane Lane was approaching and the staff was great -- communicated with us, and allowed us to shift the dates to stay safe. They sent great links to keep informed.

The garbage disposal did not work.

A little tired, in need of a little work, but lovely view & good location

Also not sure if you know but it seems you have some water damage on the ceiling in the living room, might be good idea to get it checked out.

Booked for the privacy aspect of being a top floor, end unit and were pleasantly surprised by no nextdoor neighbors either. This unit is located in a lovely area and we enjoyed the view when we took our meals on the terrace. The unit has been updated, but it was not done well and furnishings showed signs of the unforgiving humidity. We usually find condiments, etc. in rental condos and were disappointed to find the kitchen not stocked or furnished well.

It was pleasant, we really like the unit. The dishwasher didn't drain properly was our only complaint. When we complained, the Garden Island Properties sent out someone to check, but it was never fixed.

Although our time in Kauai was mostly rainy and a lot of the beaches were closed due to flooding in early April, this property provided great views, easy access to pool and beach, paved walkway along the beach to Lydgate park in either direction and central access to every part of the island without being in a congested area. Unit itself is aging and rusty in places. Will stay here again when we come to Kauai.

Had a great time at Kaha Lani. Unit was clean and spacious. Was a perfect size for a couple or a small family. Amenities and the grounds were clean and well kept. We loved the location, was a short drive north or south of the island. Well be back next year for sure. Mahalo

Beautiful location, great condo that was spotless and spacious. The kitchen and bathroom are a bit tired, but completely functional. Wonderful view from the balcony, very quiet complex that is beautifully maintained.

The vacation rental was clean and was as expected. The kitchen could definitely use face lift. The master bed was very comfortable. Wonderful view from the Lanai despite the fact that the room is not ocean front. Being on the third floor and the last unit provided privacy. Grounds and pool impeccably maintained. However, the room is right next to the parking lot, close to the main office and the laundry room, so at times it was a bit noisy. If you stay on the East Side, I would recommend staying here. The Olympic Cafe in Kapaa offers really good food and drinks at reasonable prices, great casual atmosphere. Longs Drugs, also in Kapaa, is a great place to buy souvenirs. As is the ABC store.
I would definitely consider staying here again the next time I visit Kauai.

This condo is as it appears. We had a great two week stay. Our two teenagers slept on the pullout couch for the whole two weeks but the living area is big enough to leave the bed open and not be in the way. The view is wonderful and my husband and I loved our coffee on the Lanai every morning!

Everything was great. The only suggestions I have are: replace the beach towels as they are worn and thin; better quality beach chairs (like Tommy bahamas from Costco) would be a wonderful addition and costco also has fabulous beach towels there too. With only those two changes, it would be perfect! There was a brand new Tommy bahamas beach umbrella in the unit that was great.

It was good. Bathroom needs to be updated, new refrigerator would be nice with an ice maker, also having a washer and dryer would be good.

My husband and I were very happy with our 2 week stay at Kaha Lani #311 in October 2017. With a view of the ocean, full amenities in our condo and perfect location for day trips to either end of the island, you couldn't ask for anything more. The unit was clean and well cared for, the kitchen was stocked with all the supplies needed for cooking at home and the bed was very comfortable. We were surprised and a bit disappointed that the pool was much colder than the ocean, but it didn't bother many other guests. We had no issues in our condo during our stay so no need for assistance, but Garden Isle Properties were very helpful when our flight was delayed and answered my questions immediately. We would return to this property again as a couple. We explored so much of the island from one end to the other, there is beauty all around you. The Porky's food cart in Waimea is a must try, JoJo's Shave Ice in Waimea and Hanalei is delicious although a tad bit slow but who is in a rush when you are on vacation? There is a bit of an issue getting onto the highway from the property due to heavy traffic, but it didn't take long to learn how to manage that. We would recommend the Kaha Lani property to those who are looking for a nice quiet location with minimal amenities.

It has a nice view of the ocean though partially blocked by a building in front.The picture you see from the ocean is really what you see. Birds came to the balcony to ask for food. We didn't feed them to try to keep them able to forage in the wild by themselves. Management is away from the building complex so when we needed an item we had to drive there to get it but they are very responsive. This app. location is right by the complex main entrance and office so early in the morning you can hear cars in or out and loud conversation when you are in the only bedroom. This is our only negative point. We didn't mind all the roosters crowing at any time during the day and night. Also there is a stinking smells that sometimes the wind blew over to our side. It wasn't really bad and it happen 2-3 times during our staying of 15 days. But there is something very stinky between the complex and the hotel to the left side (if facing the ocean). We gad a great time anyways.

Always Love staying at the Kaha Lani. Unit 311 is convenient and very nice. Suited us just fine for a month.

Beautiful property with large lanai. Was overall very clean, one of the pots needed extra scrubbing before using. Dishes a little mix and match, which was o.k. Grounds kept very nice. Having 1-1/2 bathrooms was great, only wished there would be separate light switch in small bathroom instead of noisy fan. I am very sensitive to fragrances and bed sheets smelled perfumy. Also, laundry is located down below and sometimes could smell what I believe was using perfumed dryer sheets. As others have already mentioned there is a problem with Roosters on the island, got used to it after a few days. Don't think you can get away from them. If you come from the north around rush hour, very difficult to make a left turn since two lanes of traffic continuously come from Lihue and no traffic light to stop them. But all in all, we greatly enjoyed it and hated to leave. Great paved walk outside property to Lydgate Park. Did not miss not having A/C, was comfortable with fans on. Was very quiet while we were there, other renters/owners very considerate.

Great quiet location with amazing ocean views. Apartment is very spacious however could use some upgrading in kitchen and bathrooms.

Overall a very nice property - quiet (except for roosters), great views, grounds well maintained, etc. Big plus was location next to Ludgate State Park and beach. Also the paved path that runs from south end of property to the. Ridge into town. We walked it almost every day. At end of path there is a very immagative children's play structure. Hard to describe, but there were tunnels, bridges, false trails, lots of ceramic artwork in walls, etc.

Biggest negatives were the roosters and no place to eat or purchase food within walking distance. The roosters woke us up around 4:30AM and crowed nonstop until around 6:30AM every day except our final 2 days. It seems like the entire island is covered in chickens and therefore lots of roosters which compete in crowing contests every day in early morning.

Also there is no way to print boarding passes unless you bring your own printer. We were able to checkiin online and Alaska printed boarding passes at the airport.

We stayed in one bedroom corner unit on 3rd floor.

Overall we would stay here again, except for the roosters.

Kaha Lani unit #311 was all hat we expected and a little more in some features. The 3rd floor end units have a lot of privacy. No one can see in your windows, or onto your Lanai.m we were able to keep the curtains open most of the time. E Here are actually 1 1/2 baths and king size bed was very comfortable. Ocean breezes and a beautiful view everyday. Paradise for us. The complex was fairly quiet even though there were a lot of families with young children. The laundry room is practically at the bottom of the stairs, and the propane bbq's are within the gates pool area. The property is very well maintained and feels very secure.
The furnishings were adequate and comfortable and the lanai was larger than expected. The location is fantastic, situated within Lydgate park with it's facilities and walking path. We spent many evenings in he beach which is just a short walk through the grass. The pie was a confused rooster that was crowing at 4 am, so we did pop in earplugs when he went off, so we could sleep until sunrise. The kitchen was well outfitted, but the owners could replace some of the pans, wi newer ones. We would definitely like to stay again.
