This was our second stay at Pono Kai. We love it here and will definitely stay again. Our only complaint is that the sofa and the bed are not the most comfortable. But otherwise everything was exactly as we hoped it would be. We highly recommend Pono Kai to anyone visiting Kaua’i.

We love this location as it is conveniently located near downtown Kapaa, the restaurants and beach. We used the pedestrian and bike path along the coast for morning walks. We appreciated the elevator to the second floor. Management was very responsive when had issue with television.

Our stay here was wonderful! This place has everything you’d ever need. Comfy bed, the pull out couch was ok comfy a little springy at places, the TVs were both smart, dishwashers worked great, THERE WAS SO MUCH ICE IN THE FREEZER which was much needed as all water in Hawaii is a balmy 80 degrees. The place was very clean, the apt is old Kauai vibes- it’s cute AC is in the living room. It can get a little toasty in the bedroom, but if you keep the door open and put fans in the hallway, it really helps. GREAT for the price- this place is like $400 a night to stay if u book with the resort. It was SUPER well stocked with towels, beach towels, linens, pillows, it had a cooler, beach chairs, a beach umbrella, etc Very close to tons of yummy restaurants, the resort has tons to do (we recommend the hot tub after long days), close to cool hikes and a great boogie boarding beach, touristy shopping, etc Kind host- helped us extend our stay last minute with an extra fee

We are a family of four and stayed at Garden Island Properties for a week in June. The unit was very clean, comfortable, and clean. The AC worked great. The only issue we had was with the wi-fi. It didn’t always work. Pool area was delightful and we loved the ocean view. The location of the property was great, so close to the airport.

Very nice place. We loved being a few steps away from the pool and beach. Well stocked kitchen. Dining table and sofas were a perfect size. The location on the island was perfect. We were not too far from any of the adventures we had booked whether is was a boat tour of Napali or surf lessons in Hanalei.

Being so close to the pool and beach with a walkout porch (lanai) is what makes this condo! We did have some sandals stolen from the lanai so make sure to not leave items there unattended!

We had a great time at Plantation Hale Suites. The unit was well furnished and had some beautiful artwork on all the walls. We had an ocean view from our rental unit. There was a pool and hot tub next to our building. The condo had everything we needed in the kitchen, plenty of towels both bathroom and beach. There was a cooler available to us. There were plenty of ice trays and some freezer packs to fill up that cooler as well. Boss Frogs was a 10 minute walk so we rented some bikes one day and snorkeling equipment another. Coconut Marketplace was right down the road which had some restaurants and many tourist shops as well as a farmers market on Tues & Thurs. We bought tons of the mini bananas and ate them every day. We had a wonderful time staying at Plantation Hale. Thanks!!

We like the Plantation Hale because of its location just south of Kapaa town and in the middle of choosing to go north to Hanalei or south to Poipu. It is just steps from the Coconut Marketplace. We have stayed there several times. The condo, F-7 is very nice with original Hawaiian art on the walls and has everything one needs to cook with. Just outside the condo is the swimming pool and BBQ setup for the guests. The owners of the condo have left an ice chest with ice packs in the freezer, beach chairs, beach towels, and other beach needs. That saves a lot of extra time and money for purchasing those items. I can't think of anything we would change in the condo. We rented it through Garden Island Properties LLC and it was less expensive than going through the hotel office. The people at Garden Island Properties were very helpful and made sure we had the beach towels, bath towels, and anything else we needed for our stay. They were OUTSTANDING! Easy reservation process and very professional.

We had a great time at Plantation Hale Suites. The unit was well furnished and had some beautiful artwork on all the walls. We had an ocean view from our rental unit. There was a pool and hot tub next to our building. The condo had everything we needed in the kitchen, plenty of towels both bathroom and beach. There was a cooler available to us. There were plenty of ice trays and some freezer packs to fill up that cooler as well. Boss Frogs was a 10 minute walk so we rented some bikes one day and snorkeling equipment another. Coconut Marketplace was right down the road which had some restaurants and many tourist shops as well as a farmers market on Tues & Thurs. We bought tons of the mini bananas and ate them every day. We had a wonderful time staying at Plantation Hale. Thanks!!

We like the Plantation Hale because of its location just south of Kapaa town and in the middle of choosing to go north to Hanalei or south to Poipu. It is just steps from the Coconut Marketplace. We have stayed there several times. The condo, F-7 is very nice with original Hawaiian art on the walls and has everything one needs to cook with. Just outside the condo is the swimming pool and BBQ setup for the guests. The owners of the condo have left an ice chest with ice packs in the freezer, beach chairs, beach towels, and other beach needs. That saves a lot of extra time and money for purchasing those items. I can't think of anything we would change in the condo. We rented it through Garden Island Properties LLC and it was less expensive than going through the hotel office. The people at Garden Island Properties were very helpful and made sure we had the beach towels, bath towels, and anything else we needed for our stay. They were OUTSTANDING! Easy reservation process and very professional.

Simple and clean place close to the beach. Not very fancy or modern, but practical for a short stay close to the beach.

Could use more USB ports and power adapters. Carpets were a bit old, and bathroom could use an upgrade, but was clean.

The place would have been perfect except for a couple of maintenance problems. The location was ideal and people were especially kind and considerate even thou it was an older condo the furnishings were exceptionally nice. A new tub would have improved the experience in Hawaii by making it more enjoyable as we are tub people. And the AC unit in the bed room covered the whole unit by leaving the door open all the time but it was too loud for me and my daughters. It at times would wake us up on numerous occasions.

I like the ground floor unit, and it doesn't look directly at any other units. There is some road noise but the landscaping shields the unit from the road well. The furniture wasn't super comfy and the kitchen was very basic on equipment. you can walk to a beach but it's not great for swimming. The pools are smallish but there are 3. There wasn't much to make it homey; no books, no games, no videos. The beach equipment is basic; 2 chairs, an umbrella and a cooler. It is right across the street from a nice but expensive market that has a good deli and coffee, and lots of stores are within walking distance. At the end of the stay, emailed instructions told me to turn in the parking pass and laundry things, but the office said to leave them in the unit. But, since it was 10 minutes after 10, they had already changed the locks. Seemed a little hasty since the place didn't look that busy.

We were extremely satisfied with the cleanliness, attractiveness, and location. The unit is within walking distance to grocery stores, deli’s, restaurants, bicycle and other equipment rentals and the beach trail. We also chose the location for its easy driving distance to the North Shore and to Lihue. The condo is spacious and attractively furnished as the site photos show. The amenities such as new linens and a full set of new cooking utensils added to our satisfaction. A7 has a pleasnant garden view with beautiful orchids nestled in the trees. During our weeklong stay, we also enjoyed the hot tub, the filtered water station and easy parking. There is some traffic noise, but it was not an issue for us. The property association staff were always accessible and helpful. We would definitely recommend this property to a friend.

I had a wonderful stay at Kanani's home. My favorite part was how quiet it was and in a really great and safe location with restaurants and a market just a short walking distance away. I loved that they provided beach chairs and a cooler. I really enjoyed my stay and was very sad to leave beautiful Kauai. I would definitely recommend anyone to book their stay here!

My mom (70-ish) and I stayed in this condo on Kaua'i for a week to visit family. The first-floor setup with two separate beds located close to parking worked very well for us. We cooked a good amount, and the kitchenette had everything we needed, down to coffee filters/trash bags/cleaning supplies. Quiet, clean property within a short distance to restaurants and shopping. I walked several times on the beach path, and the access was easy to find. I would definitely return to this property on a future trip with our young kids. The central location would make it easier to daytrip to either side of the island. You can pay an arm and a leg to stay on Kaua'i, but this condo is a great fit for those wanting something more affordable!

There wasn’t much of a breeze but the ceiling fans have long blades and work fantastic! My only suggestion is for the unit to have 2 laundry/pool cards because ours didn’t work. The office closes early and they are also closed on the weekends. One girl at the reception desk was rude. They do not assist with private rentals such as VRBO or Air BnB.You have to go to the white door next to their outdoor counter. There is a shopping center nearby and walking distance. There is also a pool bar at the Aston , which has an awesome happy hour! Our unit had all the essentials. However, I’d also recommend to the owner to have a small ice chest because many adventures can take 3-6 hours and would be nice to return to the car for some cold water.

Very accommodating with us having an infant stay! Gave us a pack and play & 2 baby baths. Super responsive. Place was clean and the shower is new. Has everything we needed. Location was great, amazing home base when going anywhere in Kauai. Downtown Kapaa has tons of great restaurants and shops.

We arrived in the early morning hours. Nice to be able to enter without a check-in.The condo, building and property is well maintained. Very clean upon arrival too. We tried to maintain that during our stay. Good location for seeing all of Kauai. A bit of a walk to the beach from the property, so it's not right on the beach, if that's important to you. The property has been there a while so don't expect it to be brand new. That's not a criticism, just expect a little wear in the buildings. We thought it was a great place!

The exterior of the buildings are old. The interior of our unit was cute and very clean. We hardly ever used the ac. We really enjoyed our stay here! Loved that it’s a 2 minute walk to both the beach and coconut marketplace. Kitchen was great it had stove, oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, and toaster… very convenient for making our own meals. Would recommend!

The only thing was that the lock on the door the batteries were low, we texted you but never heard back and did not know how to swap them. Secondly we bought a playpen and left it in the unit for others to use.

The condo was clean and very welcoming the moment we arrived. We loved that it had a full kitchen for use so, we went to local grocery store to stock up on our food to cook and enjoy. Some of our meals, it was fun to also go out to local food places as well.
We liked that they had a washer and dryer available.
The beds were real comfortable, and the loft area was open and felt private. One issue we had was it was a bit hot at night in the loft area even with the fans on us we thought it would be nice to open the upper windows for air but, unfortunately they did not have a pole to do so.
We loved that you could hear the waves from outside and you are able to walk around exploring the beautiful beach area and local spots.
The pool and jacuzzi was a nice break between all the exploring we were doing.
We had a wonderful trip and found it easy to get to and from the airport.

This condo was perfect for our family vacation! The location couldn’t be beat: amazing view, close to restaurants, and Safeway. The condo grounds were clean and very well maintained. While the beach wasn’t exactly swimable, you could wade, check out tide pools at low tide, and there were paddle boarders/ scuba divers out in the water. The amenities were (pool, bbq, shuffle board court) were clean and maintained. The condo itself was clean and spacious. No AC, but the ocean breeze that can through the door was plenty! A wonderful stay!

We wanted a two bedroom condo with a view of the ocean. Condo 307 had a lovely view with some seating on the porch. Facility was adequately stocked to support 4 folks. About the only negative was a lack of seasonings and sundries like aluminum foil. Otherwise, it had all the kitchen supplies we needed, and we did prepare most all our dinners at the condo. Staff was super responsive to our concerns when the new neighbor took up smoking on their porch... which then blew directly into our place. Claire immediately addressed the issue and those tenants stopped.

Such a lovely stay at this condo. Very well equipped from the kitchen supplies to the beach gear (chairs, umbrella, COOLER!). Few of the condos on Kauai have A/C, but the ceiling fans throughout this unit were a game changer. With the lovely ocean breeze, we stayed cool. Appliances were new and this unit is clearly well taken care of. Would happily return. Garden Island Properties were attentive and fast acting. They are doing a great job managing the place as well.

WOW! The view and sounds of the ocean can be heard from inside this unit. It was absolutely not necessary to be outside. This was a real plus and allowed us to soak up all the ocean had to offer, an element we will truly miss! For the discerning traveler, unit A-307, was exceptionally well stocked with impecable attention to detail (Tommy Bahama and island-decor items). Especially enjoyed the welcoming pineapple discretely placed in the refrigerator, a really nice touch. The condo included necessary items one may need while on vacation and in exploring the island. We could have easily left our toiletry bag at home (and hairdryer). Additional touches included necessary beach items, such as chairs, umbrellas, towels, and even a cooler to pack and take along on our days journey out exploring. Everything was clean and in great condition. We would certainly book this unit again, and hope to do so. Only downfall, steps. Three floors up and an additional flight to the master suite loft.

Great location with beautiful view of the ocean. This is centrally located on Kauai for easy access to all locations on the island. Also, walking distance to lots of great food places, groceries and shopping. We recommend Kountry Kitchen for breakfast, lava lava beach club for supper, both walking distance along a beautiful beach path.
The rental condo was perfect for us. It comes with a surprisingly well stocked kitchen including a vitamix blender and even a coffee grinder so you can purchase local (amazing) whole bean coffee. Also the unit is stocked with a washer and dryer. There are multiple options for beach chairs, a beach umbrella, beach bags and even a cooler. There are ice packs in the freezer. The condo looks to have been recently renovated and was very well done. The views from the balcony make for a perfect sunrise every morning! The unit was very clean when we arrived. We would definitely stay here again!

The location can't be beat and it's right on the beach ! Beautiful sunrise every morning from the balcony. The place was super clean and well stocked. Had beach chairs and boogies board to use. My only complaint was the upstairs loft bedroom was open to the family room below. The previous owner had a curtain rod that went across for privacy. However when we got there it was taken down so we had to make do with blankets across the banister for a little privacy. Also there is no door on the bathroom upstairs. But it was still a great place to stay and we would stay again.

Incredible spot for base camp on Kauai. Constant sounds of waves. Stocked with everything you wanted for beach day- from coolers to chairs to bags. Full kitchen and laundry. Parking. The only thing was that the lock on the door the batteries were low, we texted you but never heard back and did not know how to swap them. Secondly we bought a playpen and left it in the unit for others to use.

Good central location, the condo was nicely furnished. Property management very responsive and helpful. Wonderful view, listen to the waves. However, not an area where you can swim in the ocean if that is what you are looking for.

Great location with beautiful view of the ocean. This is centrally located on Kauai for easy access to all locations on the island. Also, walking distance to lots of great food places, groceries and shopping. We recommend Kountry Kitchen for breakfast, lava lava beach club for supper, both walking distance along a beautiful beach path.
The rental condo was perfect for us. It comes with a surprisingly well stocked kitchen including a vitamix blender and even a coffee grinder so you can purchase local (amazing) whole bean coffee. Also the unit is stocked with a washer and dryer. There are multiple options for beach chairs, a beach umbrella, beach bags and even a cooler. There are ice packs in the freezer. The condo looks to have been recently renovated and was very well done. The views from the balcony make for a perfect sunrise every morning! The unit was very clean when we arrived. We would definitely stay here again!

WOW! The view and sounds of the ocean can be heard from inside this unit. It was absolutely not necessary to be outside. This was a real plus and allowed us to soak up all the ocean had to offer, an element we will truly miss! For the discerning traveler, unit A-307, was exceptionally well stocked with impecable attention to detail (Tommy Bahama and island-decor items). Especially enjoyed the welcoming pineapple discretely placed in the refrigerator, a really nice touch. The condo included necessary items one may need while on vacation and in exploring the island. We could have easily left our toiletry bag at home (and hairdryer). Additional touches included necessary beach items, such as chairs, umbrellas, towels, and even a cooler to pack and take along on our days journey out exploring. Everything was clean and in great condition. We would certainly book this unit again, and hope to do so. Only downfall, steps. Three floors up and an additional flight to the master suite loft.

We wanted a two bedroom condo with a view of the ocean. Condo 307 had a lovely view with some seating on the porch. Facility was adequately stocked to support 4 folks. About the only negative was a lack of seasonings and sundries like aluminum foil. Otherwise, it had all the kitchen supplies we needed, and we did prepare most all our dinners at the condo. Staff was super responsive to our concerns when the new neighbor took up smoking on their porch... which then blew directly into our place. Claire immediately addressed the issue and those tenants stopped.

This condo was perfect for our family vacation! The location couldn’t be beat: amazing view, close to restaurants, and Safeway. The condo grounds were clean and very well maintained. While the beach wasn’t exactly swimable, you could wade, check out tide pools at low tide, and there were paddle boarders/ scuba divers out in the water. The amenities were (pool, bbq, shuffle board court) were clean and maintained. The condo itself was clean and spacious. No AC, but the ocean breeze that can through the door was plenty! A wonderful stay!

Exceeded our expectations! The little “extras” really go a long way- full sized lotion/soaps, salt/pepper and coffee in kitchen, extra trash bags and laundry detergent. The beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers etc was a bonus for us too. Also, this unit was so clean and comfortable, we would definitely stay again! Central location to get all around the island and lots within walking distance too.

Such a lovely stay at this condo. Very well equipped from the kitchen supplies to the beach gear (chairs, umbrella, COOLER!). Few of the condos on Kauai have A/C, but the ceiling fans throughout this unit were a game changer. With the lovely ocean breeze, we stayed cool. Appliances were new and this unit is clearly well taken care of. Would happily return. Garden Island Properties were attentive and fast acting. They are doing a great job managing the place as well.

The condo was clean and very welcoming the moment we arrived. We loved that it had a full kitchen for use so, we went to local grocery store to stock up on our food to cook and enjoy. Some of our meals, it was fun to also go out to local food places as well.
We liked that they had a washer and dryer available.
The beds were real comfortable, and the loft area was open and felt private. One issue we had was it was a bit hot at night in the loft area even with the fans on us we thought it would be nice to open the upper windows for air but, unfortunately they did not have a pole to do so.
We loved that you could hear the waves from outside and you are able to walk around exploring the beautiful beach area and local spots.
The pool and jacuzzi was a nice break between all the exploring we were doing.
We had a wonderful trip and found it easy to get to and from the airport.

The location was close to all the activities we did on Kaua’i. The condo was nice and had all the things to make our stay comfortable. We were close to the beach and a nice pedestrian/ bike path that was adjacent to the ocean. The staff was great in responding to an after hours issue and had resolved it the issue as soon as possible.

Our vacation rental experience was perfect. Our vacation rental was located perfectly in the middle of Kapaa, with shopping, restaurants, hiking and biking trails, and beaches within walking distance. It literally took 2 minutes to get the beach. We loved our vacation rental. It had every amenity needed for a great stay, (inviting property, comfortable rooms, kitchen, and washer/dryer). If you are looking for the perfect place to stay, we would recommend this property to anyone!

Our trip was cancelled to Maui and we switched islands at the last minute. I called Garden Island Properties and the office staff was so amazing and helpful in such a stressful time. Sarah is the best!!! She booked us at the Kauai Kailani #315 site unseen and we were happy with the condo. The condo was remodeled and updated and very clean. It is in the middle of the island so perfect for activates we had planned on the South or North shore. There was not an ocean view which was ok and the beach area was not good for swimming, but there are multiple beaches close by. We always went to Lyngate beach that had large lava rock that made a pool to swim in because the waves were huge. We saw so many fish and enjoyed that beach. The office staff checked on us and always replied to emails in a timely manner. We had a really great stay in Kauai!

The location was close to all the activities we did on Kaua’i. The condo was nice and had all the things to make our stay comfortable. We were close to the beach and a nice pedestrian/ bike path that was adjacent to the ocean. The staff was great in responding to an after hours issue and had resolved it the issue as soon as possible.

We stayed here for our first time to Hawaii. The place was beautiful and clean and in the best location. We did a lot of activities on the island and it was centrally located to everything we did. We didn’t use the beach at the apartment but it was nice to have it close by. I would definitely stay here again. The hosts were responsive and made sure we had what we needed. I will say having the in unit washer and dryer was a plus!! Thank you for a lovely time at your beautiful place. Mahalo!

The condo has a great location, across the street from Ross, Safeway and the best shaved ice in town. It's also near the only Tiki Bar we could find a cute brewery. The beach supplies were super handy, we had everything we need for our party of 4. The beach by the condo is not very swimmable, but great to go see the sunrise in the morning. Beaches close by you can swim at. :)

Super cute condo, I loved the set up of the 2 bedrooms. Had any amenity that you want in my opinion. Idk if it’s at this time of year or always, but the beach you can walk to that’s close to the condo didn’t appear to be swimmable. But an amazing place to watch the sunrise and have your morning coffee. Location is fantastic - directly across the street from anything you might need during your trip, Ross dress for less, UPS, grocery, ABC store, ice cream, arcade, restaurants! We spent so much time checking out the entire island and spending minimal time in the condo, but for the time we did want to relax it certainly is relaxing. And bonus points for the AC getting the unit COLD. 5/5 stars! We loved it here!

Our house was in a nice location in Princeville. It was in a quiet neighborhood and within walking distance of restaurants. It was close to beaches and places we wanted to visit on the north shore. It was also close to a market when we needed a few extra groceries. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The studio attached was nice to have for an extra space. The rental company was very easy to communicate with before and during our stay. We would highly recommend this property.

Family and Friends trip that couldn’t be beat. Traveled with a group of 10 and this home was perfect. Plenty of space for us to gather as a group and more than amble space for us to retreat to our own parts of the home.

Walking distance to a couple of restaurants at the near by resort with plenty of options for those picky eaters.

Management company was great to work with and overall excellent.

Can’t wait to visit again in future.

Had a great stay at Hale Mehana in Princeville. The home was very clean and tidy when we arrived, and the pre-arrival communication with the owners and property management was excellent. The property was easy to find and use as a home base for our family vacation. Slept eight easily. Would rent again!

Our house was in a nice location in Princeville. It was in a quiet neighborhood and within walking distance of restaurants. It was close to beaches and places we wanted to visit on the north shore. It was also close to a market when we needed a few extra groceries. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The studio attached was nice to have for an extra space. The rental company was very easy to communicate with before and during our stay. We would highly recommend this property.

What a beautiful house! We had 11 guests all together, including 3 infants/toddlers and grandparents. We had lots of space and enjoyed all our meals together in the spacious dining room. We loved the decor as well. It was cozy and homey, yet clean and contemporary. I don't think the photos do the place justice. We had to reach out to the property managers about a few minor issues but they were very quick to respond and find solutions. They were great about checking in and following up. The living room did get a bit warm at times but it wasn't too noticeable until you walk from a cool bedroom back into the shared space. We had a good time using the grill, the giant bathtub, and the jigsaw puzzles that were at the property! We enjoyed a night time stroll around the neighborhood too. Princeville is very safe and peaceful which is great for our big family. It was a great fit for our group. I hope we can stay again someday!

This was the perfect house for our group of 10. We all had enough privacy but we also enjoyed the kitchen, living and garden area for conversations and good food. The neighborhood was so quiet and beautiful .. We will stay here again for sure.

Family and Friends trip that couldn’t be beat. Traveled with a group of 10 and this home was perfect. Plenty of space for us to gather as a group and more than amble space for us to retreat to our own parts of the home.

Walking distance to a couple of restaurants at the near by resort with plenty of options for those picky eaters.

Management company was great to work with and overall excellent.

Can’t wait to visit again in future.

Our ohana really enjoyed our time in Kauai. There was lots of space to spread out but we loved the whole setup of kitchen, dining room, living room to eat and hang out together. We love cooking and eating together as a family. Princeville is far out, I would recommend going to Costco, etc before heading there. Foodland is so expensive!! Would definitely recommend house to others or stay there again!!

A lovely peaceful house with new finishes and furnishings, inside and out. Has a generous, open central floor plan and great features (ceiling fans, lanai doors all around, garden setting etc). Great location -- a short drive (or walk) to so many beautiful beaches, trails, daily farmer's markets, and the Princeville shopping center. We loved our stay here -- had our best time ever on Kaua'i. We swam, hiked, explored the reefs and visited the Na Pali coast beaches and trails. We plan to stay at Hale Mehana house again...

Would definitely go there again!

This place is awesome! Super spacious, we had the whole family very comfortable. It was renovated recently and feels really clean. Nice open feel between the front courtyard, home, and backyard. Can’t beat the location up in Princeville either, near the shopping center, Hanalei, and the Napali Coast. We cooked quite a bit for dinner and the kitchen was amazing. And after a long day of adventuring, coming back to hot showers and some really cozy beds was just perfect. The home came with beach gear that came in really handy as well. It was way better than expected and we would definitely stay here again!

Property Mgmt company allows booking on line to avoid Airbnb type fees. They respond QUICKLY to any needed repairs. Unit is pricey but is probably one of best in complex. Screen door on lanai is STILL hard to operate after several stays. Otherwise unit is well maintained, good ventilation, with good supplies in kitchen. Access to beach is EXCELLENT. Good for family and/or for romantic occasion. Location is perfect for food supplies, restaurants, and adventures to other parts of island.

Great vacation. Condo was perfect, just enough space for our family of 4. Kitchen was well stocked. Nice to have garden chairs and beach towels on site. Property was beautiful, located close to shops, restaurants, walking paths and the beach. Well maintained and very relaxing. Property management company was very responsive to the few issues that needed attention. Looking forward to our next trip!

We had a wonderful time staying at Lae Nani #536! The views are outstanding! The grounds and pool are beautiful! We enjoyed the beach in the afternoons after coming home from our adventures. We snorkeled right there too, and although it wasn’t as spectacular as some other spots on the island, we still saw a nice variety of fish. We also saw whales on two occasions! The unit itself comes fully equipped. I very much appreciated having garbage bags, dish soap, starter coffee, laundry detergent, cleaning supplies, etc. at our disposal. It also has beach chairs, an umbrella, and a cooler! So nice! The only complaint we had was with the master bedroom air conditioning unit. It really needs to be replaced. I just let the property management company know about that, and I am very much hoping that by our visit next year, the owners will have replaced it. We are booked for next winter and hope to make this unit our winter getaway in the coming years!

Overlooking a lawn there is a green lawn and the expansive ocean. This corner unit has an extra large view window. There are plenty of lounge chairs you can move to your choice spot. There is a swimming pool that was never crowded at all. It’s good to take small children to the pool as the ocean current is quite strong. That was the only disappointment is that the ocean is hard to swim in at that beach due to the rip tides.
The apartment is fully equipped with anything you could need.
The two bedrooms do have AC with we would turn on early evening and then turn off when we went to sleep.
The unit was very clean and comfortable.
The management is very responsive and provides quick answers to every question.

This is a very well appointed condo w everything you could possibly need. High top chairs alllow for an unobstructed view that is beautiful! The only issue for us was the heat. The air conditioning is extremely loud and cannot match the heat even when limited to just the sleeping space ��. We could never get the main room less than 85 degrees despite religiously closing windows and doors when the sun as up. There is no flow through. If heat is your thing and you can sleep though anything this is the place for you or consider another time of year as it is truly beautiful here❤️

The condo was very dated and I expected something nicer. Kitchen cabinets didn't seem like they had ever been cleaned and needed a good wipe down. Beach towels for our use were very ratty and sheets were not great either. Best thing about it was the view (beautiful!) and the location (convenient).

Gorgeous Decor, well stocked kitchen. Would recommend if you dont mind no AC, tradewinds do not enter the condo, its VERY hot inside. Bedrooms have portable AC. Pool has no umbrellas. Beach is fantastic but not alot of room to "set up" on sand. Property Management was fantastic, loved the portal. No AC and no umbrellas at pool is why the 4 stars.

Everything is great about this property except that it doesn’t have air conditioning other than portable units in each of the bedrooms which were quite noisy. At times it was very uncomfortable in the other living areas given the high humidity on the island. The unit does have ceiling fans and other portable fans that does move the humid hot air around without cooling it. The location of the unit is great. The kitchen was well equipped. If you can tolerate a higher level of humidity this unit is perfect.

Sleeps 4 but only 2 seats on lanai with 2 not everyone could sit outside. The unit got so hot during the day even with the blinds drawn. Ac in bedrooms cooled it off but you were stuck in bedroom if you wanted to be cool.

Unit's furnishings reflected the excellent island taste of the Owner. It was NOT a typical rental basics. Kitchen is superbly stocked with cooking needs and spices. Being end unit (allowing excellent ventilation) and away from the other buildings in the complex made for a complete focus on the beach, the ocean with daily turtles, all contained on grounds that are lush and inviting for daily stroll. Beach is good swimming area. The property management company we booked with (Garden Isle Properties) is top notch and was readily accessible before and during stay, and gave us more resources to help explore the island.

I encourage others to book this unit if you can handle going up to third floor and no elevators. Those suitcases and groceries seem extra heavy going up.

On site property office is adequate but not 5 star level.

Property Mgmt company allows booking on line to avoid Airbnb type fees. They respond QUICKLY to any needed repairs. Unit is pricey but is probably one of best in complex. Screen door on lanai is STILL hard to operate after several stays. Otherwise unit is well maintained, good ventilation, with good supplies in kitchen. Access to beach is EXCELLENT. Good for family and/or for romantic occasion. Location is perfect for food supplies, restaurants, and adventures to other parts of island.

This is a great location. The view from the balcony is wonderful. The bedrooms were quiet and cool. Kitchen well stocked. I like that you can swim in the ocean right on property. The tide pools are cool too. This whole complex is older, so it’s not 6-star luxury. But, the view, comfort and convenience are so much more important (to me) than that. I’d definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful time staying at Lae Nani #536! The views are outstanding! The grounds and pool are beautiful! We enjoyed the beach in the afternoons after coming home from our adventures. We snorkeled right there too, and although it wasn’t as spectacular as some other spots on the island, we still saw a nice variety of fish. We also saw whales on two occasions! The unit itself comes fully equipped. I very much appreciated having garbage bags, dish soap, starter coffee, laundry detergent, cleaning supplies, etc. at our disposal. It also has beach chairs, an umbrella, and a cooler! So nice! The only complaint we had was with the master bedroom air conditioning unit. It really needs to be replaced. I just let the property management company know about that, and I am very much hoping that by our visit next year, the owners will have replaced it. We are booked for next winter and hope to make this unit our winter getaway in the coming years!

Great vacation. Condo was perfect, just enough space for our family of 4. Kitchen was well stocked. Nice to have garden chairs and beach towels on site. Property was beautiful, located close to shops, restaurants, walking paths and the beach. Well maintained and very relaxing. Property management company was very responsive to the few issues that needed attention. Looking forward to our next trip!

Sleeps 4 but only 2 seats on lanai with 2 not everyone could sit outside. The unit got so hot during the day even with the blinds drawn. Ac in bedrooms cooled it off but you were stuck in bedroom if you wanted to be cool.

Everything is great about this property except that it doesn’t have air conditioning other than portable units in each of the bedrooms which were quite noisy. At times it was very uncomfortable in the other living areas given the high humidity on the island. The unit does have ceiling fans and other portable fans that does move the humid hot air around without cooling it. The location of the unit is great. The kitchen was well equipped. If you can tolerate a higher level of humidity this unit is perfect.

This is a very well appointed condo w everything you could possibly need. High top chairs alllow for an unobstructed view that is beautiful! The only issue for us was the heat. The air conditioning is extremely loud and cannot match the heat even when limited to just the sleeping space . We could never get the main room less than 85 degrees despite religiously closing windows and doors when the sun as up. There is no flow through. If heat is your thing and you can sleep though anything this is the place for you or consider another time of year as it is truly beautiful here❤️

Gorgeous Decor, well stocked kitchen. Would recommend if you dont mind no AC, tradewinds do not enter the condo, its VERY hot inside. Bedrooms have portable AC. Pool has no umbrellas. Beach is fantastic but not alot of room to "set up" on sand. Property Management was fantastic, loved the portal. No AC and no umbrellas at pool is why the 4 stars.

Overlooking a lawn there is a green lawn and the expansive ocean. This corner unit has an extra large view window. There are plenty of lounge chairs you can move to your choice spot. There is a swimming pool that was never crowded at all. It’s good to take small children to the pool as the ocean current is quite strong. That was the only disappointment is that the ocean is hard to swim in at that beach due to the rip tides.
The apartment is fully equipped with anything you could need.
The two bedrooms do have AC with we would turn on early evening and then turn off when we went to sleep.
The unit was very clean and comfortable.
The management is very responsive and provides quick answers to every question.

Your home is such an oasis of peace, relaxation and happiness here in Hawaii. I did not enjoy my trip to Maui in 2015, but this trip changed everything! Thank you! Your home is so comfortable and the view cannot be compared. We loved how close this place was to everything too. Our family really needed a place like this to unwind from our busy lives. We will never forget the views, the breezes, the sudden rain, the birds chirping, the sound of the waves and the swaying palm trees! Our favorite place ever!

We were traveling with another couple and we wanted a separate bedroom and bathroom for each, this worked perfectly. The condo was spacious and clean and had a beautiful view. Our only (minor) complaint is we thought they should have had bathrooms by the pool. The condo is on the opposite side of the property from the pool and it was a bit of a walk back to the condo every time we had to use a bathroom. Very nice pool and beach area. A very nice area right next door with many restaurants, bars and shops, easy walking distance. We had several fun nights at the Lava Lava Beach Club and Jimmy's has excellent wings. Also a good Italian restaurant. Great location, we went to Waimea Canyon and Na Pali overlook one day and Hanalei and North Coast area another, and the drives to each were about the same distance. Overall very satisfied with this condo and would highly recommend to anyone.

Unit's furnishings reflected the excellent island taste of the Owner. It was NOT a typical rental basics. Kitchen is superbly stocked with cooking needs and spices. Being end unit (allowing excellent ventilation) and away from the other buildings in the complex made for a complete focus on the beach, the ocean with daily turtles, all contained on grounds that are lush and inviting for daily stroll. Beach is good swimming area. The property management company we booked with (Garden Isle Properties) is top notch and was readily accessible before and during stay, and gave us more resources to help explore the island.

I encourage others to book this unit if you can handle going up to third floor and no elevators. Those suitcases and groceries seem extra heavy going up.

On site property office is adequate but not 5 star level.

Gorgeous, clean oceanfront condo 50 feet from the water - it doesn't get any better than this! My husband, myself, and our 3 year old had a wonderful week here. The condo is in a beautiful, small resort with lovely grounds and a great pool. Immediately in front of the condo there is a small beach and a protected children's swimming cove that my daughter loved. Right from the property you can hop on a walking/biking path that goes a few miles up the coast, with fantastic ocean views all the way. Just a 4 min drive from Lydgate beach (stellar snorkeling and an awesome playground). The condo itself is comfortable and has a luxury feel. The kitchen is stocked with all the equipment you need for cooking at home. As the description says, there is only AC in the bedrooms, but this was fine for us as we were mostly out of the apartment during the day anyway. We wanted to stay on for another week! If you have the opportunity to book this place, don't hesitate - just do it!

This condo was ideal for our trip to Kauai. Our friends were staying at the resort next door and paid 2x and I'm glad we found this rental. This unit was clean, quiet with views of the ocean, things in the unit were organized, really perfect for our needs. Logistics of checking in and out were simple too. Thanks for a great stay!

Our family had a good stay in this unit. The check in and checkout process was super easy, the unit is located well, the buildings are well maintained. There were some hot nights in this unit, once we worked out the fans and positioning we were able to get more comfortable. The pull out mattress in the other room was a bit uncomfortable but we made do. Overall, was a good stay!

Stayed here for 2 weeks. Was a nice central location and as described in the listing. We have an issue during our stay that was dealt with super promptly which was very impressive. There are two pools, which are not heated and freezing! I could not swim in them. The only thing that was really disappointing was the level of cleaning done for our arrival. There was a contact lens stuck to the bathroom counter, the walls and door were extremely dirty with hand prints. There is some visible mold on the walls in the main bedroom. Having the wash machine was very handy. The complex handy man was so friendly! I’d suggest getting a new cleaning service and having the place deep cleaned. Otherwise good place to stay.

The unit was pretty much as expected, clean and comfortable and well situated right next to a beach. We liked the location in Kapaa, as we could easily get north and south for different activities. The unit didn’t have AC, which we knew ahead of time, but it seems like the neighboring condo could ONGs and even most of the condos in our building did in fact have it, which was counter to what we were told. It would have definitely been more comfy with it. The beach gear that was included was nice, but the umbrella is in sad condition and not really useful. It was really nice to have laundry capabilities as well as a functioning kitchen. We were able to borrow a crib for our child, but had to get creative with a sheet for it to keep it sanitary, as linens were not included. We would consider staying here again, especially at the price point we rented for, but we would also spend a little more time looking around at other options too. Overall, we are satisfied with our stay, but a few small improvements would make a world of difference!

This property was in the perfect location to go out and see the whole island without having to drive extremely long to get there. It's also right next to the beach, right across the street from grocery and other shopping, restaurants. It doesn't have AC but it had plenty of fans and the breeze from the ocean made for great sleeping conditions. Would definitely stay here again.

This is our third time staying at the Kailani Each visit a different room.We love the location stores and restaurants close by Ocean just a few steps away Would go out every morning and watch the sunrise.Room was furnished well cooler,chairs,beach towels to go out exploring each day We love the comfy king size beds The kitchen was stocked with coffee ,tea ,spices ,oil for cooking, Ziploc bags great for making our lunches to go Aluminum foil for BBQAll soap was furnished for dishes and laundryLove having washer and dryer in unit would not book a place without that so nice less clothes to pack for trip Little extras were sunscreen shampoo conditioner first aid kit The fans were a defeint plus with no air on the third floor was pretty warm at timesAll in all great time in Hawaii and will rent at the Kailini for our next trip we love this area and location Got to know some people there and all very kind and helpful We extended our check out time till 200 and Garden Isle was very prompt answering back promplty to do that Mahalo and Blessings till we come back to the Kauai again We love the island experience always .wsuppliwitspicescoffee oil

Great property, we enjoyed our stay here. Thoughtful amenities like detergent pods and dryer sheets for the very convenient washer and dryer and cleaning products/towels/broom helped us keep the place tidy. Ceiling fans and room fans keep it cooler - we would prop the front door open while we were there to let that wonderful trade wind flow through. We also enjoyed both pools and the 1 minute walk to the beach where we saw Hawaiian sea monk seals on 2 different days! (Loved the beach chairs, umbrella and floated too!) We are sad to leave this beautiful island and look forward to staying here on this property in the future.
