Five stars aren’t enough. This super clean condo is the end unit on the second floor - we enjoyed coffee watching the sunrise on the covered lanai each morning listening to the waves and occasionally catching sight of a whale. The unit was well stocked with everything we needed whether in the kitchen, bathroom, cooler, beach chairs and towels, bags for the grocery, or extra pillows in the air conditioned bedroom with a very comfortable bed. The management is very responsive and easy to work with.
The resort is right on the water and at the very beginning of the bike/ walking path, and across the street from multiple restaurants and within 1/4 mile of Safeway. Kapa’a is an easy area to get everywhere.

Rent a car, we don’t see any taxis or ride shares anywhere. We easily drive everywhere and most of our planned activities (hiking/kayaking) were canceled because of the storm/flooding. We were still able to go to the state parks, canyons, beaches, see the turtles, the lighthouse and tons of waterfalls. Plan tours early if you wish to do the chocolate tour or botanical gardens. Lawai’a Fish Co was a great find, we visited multiple times to bring back for lunch/picnics. Merriman’s restaurant in Poi’pu was worth the visit. The ABC Market at the Coconut Marketplace has a great deli that includes lots of hot and cold food, smoothies, and ice cream, and a farmers market twice a week. Overall - we’ll return and stay here again - it was great.

The property was exactly as described and even exceeded our expectations. Very well equipped unit that lacked nothing. We like staying in the Kapaʻa area and this is perfectly located for the area. Bedroom had large bed and an air conditioner. The rest of unit has fans and if you open the screen door on entry and the screen out the lanai there is a great crosswind most of the time. Bathroom featured a very nice shower and next to the bathroom was a washer+dryer unit with was a huge plus. The kitchen was very well equipped. Living room was large and comfortable, but the real star was the lanai which had wonderful view of the ocean. Pool wasn't huge but we used it several times. Shopping and dining are nearby and it is easy to launch off on adventures around the island from the area. We were married in Lihue 30 years ago and have returned to celebrate our anniversary four times and this is our favorite. Very highly recommendation. And great communication from the property management company from initial reservation and through our stay.

We have stayed in this unit multiple times over the years and it never disappoints. We love the location in both the complex and in Kapaa.

we did a short term rental in this condo. It was excellent. The patio overlooked the pool and the ocean. We could sit out and have our meals watching and listening to the ocean. The bedroom is air conditioning. During the day we could have the patio and front door open for the breeze. They even have a hot pot for tea and lots of condiments for cooking. There is a washer and dryer in this unit. The management company was very helpful also. We would definitely stay again.

Our unit had an exceptional view and my wife loved having her coffee out on the lanai. I was working in town and the trip was easy and pleasant. There are many places to dine and two grocery stores are very close by. The property was beautiful, neat, clean, and we would love to stay here again.

Great little condo in a great location with beautiful sunrises! Halfway between Ha'ena State Park and Waimea Canyon, it was a great spot to see both sides of the island without moving mid trip. Good restaurants in walking distance and a grocery store very close. Note the AC is only on the bedroom and the beach is not for swimming.

Great condo, feel lucky we found it. As advertised it is corner end unit ocean front. Very clean fully stocked unit. We appriciated the extra supplies like dishwasher and laundry tabs as well as cleaning supplies so we could keep the kitchen clean. NO bugs whatsoever, took the rubbish out each day. The comfortable bed. We were happy there was the portable AC in the bedroom and used it at night.

First of all, Garden Isle Properties is great to work with! They were friendly, quick to respond to all my questions and I ended up installing their app which made things even better! Mahalo! This unit is great! It’s quiet, clean and very comfortable. It also had all the necessities we needed for the week. The kitchen was great too. Chose it for the A/C (so it would be quiet at night)(was worried about the roosters...but it was quiet at night and I ended up enjoying them), the washer and dryer in the unit (it was our second week of vacation) and the recliner (because my husband needs one sometimes for his neck and back issues). This place far exceeded my expectations and I sure wish I could book it again now for next year! :) They also keep the grounds impeccably well...including the pool which we swam in and the grills which we used a couple of times. The fact that it was oceanfront was the icing on the cake! We enjoyed the balcony so much...between drinking our coffee, eating meals, playing games and just enjoying the ocean. The miles long walking/bike path actually starts at this location and we took several memorable walks/bike rides on it. First time in Hawaii/Kauai and this is the perfect location to explore the whole island (whether we were heading north, west or south on any particular day) which we did all week and had an absolutely fabulous time...made memories that will last a lifetime! The condo itself had everything we needed- they thought of everything. The condo is not fancy-could use a bit of updating. Location was convenient to restaurants, bike path and centrally located for traveling around island. There is no beach in front of this property but there is a great view of the ocean. Property management provided clear, ongoing information, communication. We enjoyed hiking all around the island. Recommend hiking boots in winter! Expect Mud. If it's raining north could be sunny south. Nice bike ride along the ocean for morning. Rented from Boss Frog's. Great lunch at the Fish Deli and Tiki's tacos in Kapaa. Nice dinner at Duke's.

This condo was perfectly located for us. It was easy to get to either the Princeville & Hanalei areas or Poipu & Waimea. There were plenty of restaurants, food trucks & grocery stores located nearby. The local shopping opportunities are great. The bed and living room furniture was comfortable. The entire condo, including the kitchen was well stocked. The condo was clean and well cared for. While there is a rock shelf in front of the grounds making it not swimmable, Lydgate Beach is a short drive and is a wonderful park and great beach with calm waters for little kids or adults who don’t appreciate waves. There is a nice pool and hot tub at the condo. The other two things I would mention are that this unit is on the second floor and there is no elevator. For anyone who has trouble with stairs, that would be an issue. There was a room air conditioner in the bedroom that kept the bedroom very comfortable. There was a big fan in the living room and you can get cross ventilation. We closed the big curtains in the day when we were out exploring and that kept the unit from overheating. A small fan in the bathroom would have been very nice as with the door shut, it gets very warm in the bathroom, even with the exhaust fan on, since there is no window in the bathroom. We would definitely stay in this condo again. Making reservations was easy and any questions we had were answered quickly.

The grounds are very well kept. Perhaps the owner should consider replacing the carpet with something more practical. Overall, our vacation was wonderful.

If you have the opportunity to stay at this corner end unit (one of the closest to the ocean on Island) you will not be disappointed. Beautiful views, warm pool, and spa. And best part you can walk to the grocery store and take advantage of the beach trail to walk or bike into Kapaa town or even farther down for your morning or evening walks. It makes it very convenient being in the center of the island as trips to the north or south shore are quick and easy drives!

We stayed from April 5 to May 10th, 2023. This is our third (and longest) stay in this suite. We love the location near the walking/bicycle trail (15 kilometres round trip from our parking lot to the end of the trail and back) and within walking distance of most amenities such as groceries, a nice local liquor store and restaurants. The ensuite washer and dryer are a real plus making it easy to pack fewer clothes if you prefer to bring just carry on luggage for your trip. You are right next to the ocean in this room which we found to be wonderful for sleeping (if you like being lulled to sleep by ocean waves). You are also right next to the barbecues which is great if you need to run food back and forth when cooking lunch or dinner. The proximity to the hot tub can be a mixed blessing if some of the other guests like to party loudly but management keeps pool/hot tub hours enforced so there are no late night annoyances. The bed and furniture is comfortable and the appliances are in good working condition. The place was clean when we arrived and thoroughly cleaned halfway through our stay. The wi fi range is somewhat limited in the suite - we experienced lag issues when trying to watch TV in the bedroom so we didn't bother with it (we mostly read anyway). We really like this location and room and would definitely stay here again.

This end unit has great views of ocean so the sunrises were spectacular! We could walk to some stores & restaurants or it was a short drive to area towns and beaches. The beach by Condo were not really where you’d want to swim. But the ocean sounds/breezes with windows opened (no a/c) were highlight. The unit could use some TLC: remove carpet, update decor and make sure that the TV in the bedroom actually works...had no issues with tv in the living room. Condo has all the kitchen gadgets we needed for the few meals we made there and having washer/dryer was a plus. Unit was stocked with things you would likely use which was nice.

Our stay was wonderful! This was the first time we had stayed in Kappa and the first time staying with Garden Island Properties and we were not disappointed and hope to return to the same condo we were in.The only problem is the traffic issue and the County has to do something to releive it. It took us 45 minutes to go 6 miles and a couple of occasions and that was before the construction started.Ver concerning if you have an emergency or are trying to reach the airport.

We liked this location because we wanted to be close to the airport and not too far from traveling any direction. We knew we wanted to see as much of the island as possible without having to drive 2 hours in one direction. We spent 3 days and we could go any direction in about 1.5 hours or less.

It was a beautiful place with ocean view. I enjoyed my time spending at the terrace, eating, drinking and reading while I was listening the wave from the ocean. It’s very convenient that you can buy anything you need from safeway within 10 minutes walking, also had several dining options. The swimming pool is not big, but enough to enjoy there with warm water until late night. The communication was quick and easy, the place was cleaned well with good wifi service. I’ll certainly stay there again.

This was a great, centrally-located place to stay on Kauai! The condo had everything we needed. The beach chairs were a really nice touch and much appreciated. We cooked several meals in the condo and found everything we needed - including basics like salt/pepper and olive oil. There is no a/c as is mentioned in the description but the location gets get cross-breezes with the screen doors and windows open. The pool and hot tub were nice, lounge chairs on the lawn are even nicer than those in the picture, and there were grills available to everyone. The condo is in a busy part of Kapa'a - easy walking to various stores and restaurants and easy access to the walking/bike path. Once you are in the condo and on the backside facing the ocean you don't hear all the business of the town on the other side. It was like getting the best of both worlds - central location but lulling ocean wave souns. We'd definitely stay here again!

After an unusual 3 year pause from our favorite island paradise it was so nice to return. The same wasrm, peaceful, beautiful island greeted us with 10 days of 80 degree weather. Kapaa Shore property in Kapaa was wonderful. Our unit overlooked all the amenities and serves up daily morning glorious sunrises. The well appointed unit has all we could ever need in a home away from home. We can walk a 25 minute walk downtown to many shops and restaurants along a paved pathway or quickly to groceries. Thank you to the owners and Garden Island Properties for a great, long awaited visit.

I arrived at 3PM and it was very easy to get into the apartment (no key all you need is a code). This made it really easy to leave and come back to the apartment. The location is superb - right next to a beautiful running trail and across from two grocery stores and several food areas. We walked pretty much everywhere. The rental was outdated and had no air conditioning but that was fine as we did not spend too much time in the room. We did cook a few nights and they had all the utensils needed which made it very easy. The room is small but was fine for two people. They could use some black out curtains as the room would be light from the lights outside at night. The condo is right on the water and had a nice balcony. The washer/dryer came in handy after several days of hiking and getting muddy. They had several towels, cleaning supplies and dishwasher/laundry detergent available. I would recommend this place and stay here again when coming back to Kauai.

Comfortable bed, loved the shower. Great being right at the beginning of the east coast walking trail. Beautiful sunrises. Within walking distance of multiple grocery stores, the public library and downtown Kapaa. Lovely quiet unit with the sound of the ocean every night and nice view from the balcony. Right next to the communal barbecue's if you like to cook (we do). Very well stocked with towels, dishes and condiments. Good air circulation so the lack of an AC unit was not missed. We would have liked more specialty glasses for drinks (wine/champagne/beer/cocktails) and non-plastic/corelle plates.

We really enjoyed our stay at Kapa'a Shores. The unit was equipped with everything we needed. Clean, comfortable beds, with a nice view. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Due to the rock reef swimming in the ocean isn't the most optimal but we were ok with that because there are so many other beaches we love to go to. We would stay here again!

This was a great home base for exploring Kauai! We appreciated the equal distance between north and south shore, and the ability to walk to restaurants and shops. The decor is a little outdated but everything was very clean and comfortable. The pool, hot tub and grounds were very clean and well-kept as well. No A/C, which my husband was worried about (he's always hot), but we didn't miss it- the ocean breeze combined with the ceiling fans kept the entire unit nice and cool, especially in the evenings. There were additional fans available but we didn't even need them. This was probably the most well-stocked vacation rental we've ever stayed in! They really had everything available for us- all the kitchen basics, beach chairs, beach towels and mats, coolers, snorkels, yoga mat, toiletries, laundry supplies, shopping bags, etc. It was also great for our young toddler- there weren't any knicknacks for her to get into, no low open windows to worry about, and a set of plastic dishes in the cabinets for her to use. No issues with bugs or other pests- but as a precaution, we did keep food waste in a big tupperware bowl in the fridge until it was time to take the trash out. We really enjoyed our stay and would book again in a heart beat!

The rental location is nice in that you can easily get to the North or South. It is in the center of the small town of Kapaa with a variety of restaurants within walking distance. The unit has a nice ocean view and several recent upgrades including a nice shower area. We had a nice time and no negative issues.

Enjoyed sunrises from the lanai. Our only complaint was that there was no a/c. Humidity was high from rain storms so would have been nice. Close to shopping and restaurants. Unfortunately it is located on the main highway and the traffic was an issue but the noise was negligible. There isn't a beach here only lava rock & coral. No swimming except pool. Will recommend to others.

Kapaa Shores is a relatively small complex with lovely condos all with ocean view. The office staff was friendly and helpful. Management company was also excellent. The apartment was lovely, well appointed and comfortable. Only 15 minutes from the airport with easy access to the north shore beaches. Will take about an hour to drive to the farthest point north. Close to grocery stores and restaurants. Internet is provided. Second floor with no elevator, which wasn't a problem for us. The best hot tub! We would definitely stay here again.

The rental was very nice. Clean and had everything needed. Beautiful views. My only issue was the down pillows. Even throw pillows on couch are down. So my allergies were set off. I would suggest keeping some foam pillows in closet for guests with allergies.

The hot tub and pool were closed down but it took a couple days before we were notified that it was due to legenaires
disease

Perfect room and view. It was awesomely clean and well kept. Service when it was needed was prompt and professional as well as friendly. Watched the ground keeping crew every day keeping the property in tip-top shape. I would recommend this condo to anyone and wouldn't mind in the least returning here.

We took a helicopter ride, catamaran ride up the Napali coast with snorkeling and I had a marvelous time on a zip line which was on my bucket list. Would do that again as well. All in all, this was perfect as a base and as a place to just lay back and chill. Pool and spa made it perfect to relax and take out kinks from long walks We took our own lunches along on day trips but enjoyed restaurants as well. Only ate at one I was not too fond of. Bubba's Burgers make awesome hamburgers and Kountry Kitchen was easy to see why it was so popular. My very favorite place though was Jo Jo's Shave Ice. Made several stops there. Loved the Farmer's Markets where I could try out unusual foods and fruits.

We enjoyed our stay, especially the beautiful tiled shower! Now we want to do the same to ours. Good central location to all locations on the island. Like the hike along the beach in Poipu, and the hike at the top of the Waima Canyon. Have stayed at Kappa Shore 4 times and it is always enjoyed!
