Beautiful place in a great area, close to beaches

The picture shows the beach behind the property; although walking distance, it wasn't that close. Unit was mostly updated; one bedroom closet door was squeaky. Outdoor areas of property looked outdated but clean and functional. Unit came with plenty of utensils including blender, coffee maker and ice maker. We noticed a burnt out outdoor light, mentioned it to a passing employee and it was fixed the same day. No major issues the rest of trip. I read roaches were a problem; we kept the unit clean and didn't see one outside until we were leaving. Would recommend for a lower cost unit in central location close to airport although it is a commercial area. Helpful for helicopter excursion.

We came as a trio needing a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom location. Based on the pictures, everything looked fine, but nothing special. We were surprised to find it much more updated than we expected by the pictures. The couch and beds were comfortable and had very soft sheets. The air conditioning was excellent in all parts of the house.

What set this rental apart from most was the random thoughtful things included. We didn't realize it came with 4 beach chairs, a beach umbrella, a regular umbrella (we found out it rains a ton in Kauai), two pairs of flippers, and a full laundry set with the detergent included.

It was also great to stay in Lihue, as we felt we could go to the north side or the south side at ease, not the mention some of the best food itself in Lihue.

The beach near the apartment is super easy to get to, and we took advantage of that opportunity. There are also several great food options near the apartment.

Finally, the covered parking was a lifesaver when it was raining hard. Would highly recommend this location and will consider coming here again in the future.

This location is unbeatable for the ease of walking to the beach and nearby restaurants, as well as being centrally located, making it easy to get to the north, south, or west sides of the island. The air conditioning units made a big difference in the comfort of our stay.

We enjoyed our stay at Banyan Harbor. We are a family of five with three smaller kids. The property met all our needs. The hosts are friendly and responded right away. The kids loved the pool. We would stay here again.

I personally did not mind the place. For the most part it had everything we needed (could have used more cook ware and utensils). The thing that can definitely be changed is having the locks on bedrooms for privacy. It was certainly great to have AC in the unit. We could only see a tiny glimpse of the ocean between the roofs of the building in front of ours. But our building had the tropical forest (if you appreciate that kind of thing) with mangoes that were just about to be done. The ocean IS in a short distance of 5-10 minutes. And you can enjoy the views from the pool you have access to (since our building and the unit was the farther at, would probably take 5 minutes up the hill).We also didn’t mind the stairs. I mean it is explicitly said in the description of the unit that it is on the second floor, accessed by stairs. They ARE on a steeper side, but there was another set of stairs more manageable. The only thing that bothered us is that the property was advertised at suitable for 6 people, as there was a pull out couch in the common are, but the couch was horrible - creaky, uncomfortable- to sleep in for two people (we had teenaged kids). Later I noticed that the description of the unit was changed from allowing to sleep 6 to 5 people.

We stayed 8 nights in Banyan Harbor resort F71 top floor and it was a nice stay. This unit is equipped with A/C in each room (worked fine), it has 4 beach chairs with umbrella (was very helpful for us), laundry and kitchen. They communicate with you timely and well. All staff in resort is helpful and friendly. We were on top floor and stairs pretty steep (they don’t have an elevator). If you have a poor health it might be hard to lift your baggage up there. All rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. There are lots of food places around. Overall it was fine, kind of what we expected; nothing fancy, but you got what you need for your vacation.

The condo had some updates, nice counter tops and flooring. It does show it's age in other areas. Partially painted walls near the washer/dryer and older cabinets in the bathroom. Everything worked great. Fully functioning kitchen. Plenty of room for 4-6 folks. This was our third time staying at Banyan Harbor and we'll be back.

Clean.Close to everything (grocery, restaurants, etc) Walkable to nice beach, less than 10 minutes. The 2nd bedroom is a bit tight but comfortable. The only thing missing were wine glasses and wine opener otherwise fully equipped.

Our family of 8 plus two friends stayed in two separate units that were very close to one another - it worked great! The property is very conveniently located to airport, shopping and attractions. Beautiful beach right across the street. Loved having in unit washer and dryer. Kitchen is small but nice. The unit we stayed in had all bedrooms up stairs. The other unit had all rooms on one level. You could actually see the ocean over the roof top from our balcony and bedroom windows. Nice beach amenities including chairs and umbrella. Worked great for our group!

The Banyan Harbor Resort is in a prime location, being approximately 2.2 miles from the Lihue Airport, walking distance to the Nawiliwili coast line, and minutes away from popular eatery such as Dukes Kauai. The two bedroom, one and half bath unit is spacious. Amenities include washer, dryer, and a full kitchen. The pool is located on an overlook position with a scenic, unobstructed view of the Nawiliwili coast line, ocean. The pool deck is large, with ample amount of lounge chairs for sunbathing and a roomy area for a potluck style gathering. My stay at the Banyan was very enjoyable, relaxing, quiet and safe. I highly recommend the Banyan to anyone seeking lodging accommodations on east Kauai.

We needed to rent a condo for 11 days while we remodeled parts of our home. The unit we had was amazing. It was very spacious. We had one small issue and we emailed the management company. That same day hey had maintenance address the problem. We highly recommend using Garden Island Properties for your next vacation or for your short term needs such as ours.

I rented this property for two older ladies coming for a special event. They stayed four days and visited the island too. The property company was so nice and easy to work with, the room was updated with a new kitchen and bathrooms, air-conditioners in every room and comfortable beds and couches. There was a beautiful Mountain View also. A covered parking stall was available for our unit. It was on the 3rd floor though, and the steps were a bit steep. There was fire a few doors down, but all was resolved and able to go back to room. Property company were very helpful after hours. The price for the size of the apartment was amazing. Overall it was a great stay and nice place to relax.

My husband and I loved our stay at Kaha Lani Resort. The views were unbelievable, with the ocean only a few steps away. The lack of A/C was a little tough at times, but you do get a nice breeze from the ocean, and overall, it's worth it. The unit is stocked with everything you need. The proximity to the airport and kapa'a was fantastic and it was easy to get anywhere on the island. Thank you for a great stay!

Overall an excellent stay 0 the unit was exactly as advertised. Great view of ocean (facing East) and very appointed unit.

The one negative is that the BBQ's were long way away and in total disrepair. They need serious improvement.

Also this is close to a homeless encampment but absolutely no issues experienced from being close.

We will stay there again - centrally located and easily accessed.

We had the most wonderful stay at Kanani’s place. Super clean and comfortable but the real star was the view - sitting drinking a coffee while the sun came up on the lanai was my favourite thing to do while we were there. We slept with the windows open and it was magical being able to hear the ocean.

We stayed for a week at this beautiful place and loved it! The area is quiet and private, the view is stunning and you can walk to beautiful Lydgate beach park in literally 5 minutes. It is the perfect location to reach any place on the island within an hour max. The apartment offers everything you could need and more, the kitchen is very well equipped, beds are comfortable. Beautiful unit very well equiped. The kitchen had everything you need. The staff were very nice and respond very fast.The unit was very clean except the mosquito netting for the windows. They were dusty mostly in the bathroom and bedroom. The view is amazing and the unit is near Lydgate beach. A nice beach for family and lots of fish to see in the morning. Generally a nice place. Well appointed 3rd floor walk up unit. Despite being just 10 minutes from the airport, there was no airplane noise, if there was, it was drowned out by the sounds of crashing ocean waves. Personally, my favorite part of Kauai is the animals, and this property is full of them! The usual chickens and roosters, tons of geckos, and so many adorably friendly cats! Don't feed them, but we saw the lovely volunteers come by to make sure they were fed. Beyond the animals, the unit itself has a stellar breeze off of the ocean. The bed was nice and the water pressure in the shower was great. You will have a nice stay if you choose this location!

Das Kaha Lani Resort ist perfekt für Leute die auf ein Hotel verzichten und Kauai erkunden wollen. Der Strand ist gleich vor der Haustür, in die Berge braucht man maximal eine Stunde mit dem Auto. Auch in den schönen Norden braucht man nicht viel länger. Für drei Personen ist hier auf jeden Fall genügend Platz und die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, inklusive Spülmaschine. Im Umkreis von 10 Fahrminuten befinden sich tolle Restaurants sowie mehrere Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Es war wundervoll, gerne wieder!

The condo is perfectly located for great unobstructed views of the ocean. A short walk to the beach which has swimmable areas, life guard, and is long enough for beach jogging and brisk walks. The pool offers a nice cozy alternative to the thunderous pacific. The interior layout and amenities were accurately described. Nice breezes flow through the condo. Conveniently located, just east of the main highway, therefore you do hear a bit of traffic noise at times. The bedroom looks out onto the facility parking lot, with associated noises. Would come again. Ah and yes, and the roosters!

Our 3rd time to Kauai & 2nd at this resort. Unit 325 is direct ocean front therefore a beautiful breeze flows through the space. Listen to the waves all night you may even choose to forgo the comfortable King bed to sleep on the pull out sofa which is also comfy. It’s a great centrally located spot to travel around the island. Great snorkelling right out front!

Overall, the stay was nice. The view is amazing The kitchen hardware was not very clean and behind the beds neither. Also the terrace beach chairs looked old and not very friendly.

This place was spectacular. The view was great, and it was easy to walk to the beach or to the pool. Being on the east side of the island made it easy for any excursions to the north or south. We loved the constant breeze going through the unit. The beds were comfortable, the furniture was nice, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Parking was easy too. We would love to come back!

Good location between north and south side of island, 30-40 mins to get to either end. Property is well maintained, quiet, on walk/running path and easy access to the beach. My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at this condo. We were looking for a quiet place to relax with a nice view and this condo exceeded our expectations! The view is amazing and each day we looked forward to sitting on the spacious lanai. We appreciated the fact that we got the morning sun and by noon the lanai was in the shade so we could enjoy lunch there. The location of the condo could not be topped. We had an unobstructed view of the water. The beach stretched in both directions, and there was a long walking path leading to parks in either direction, perfect for early morning or late afternoon strolls along the water. The location of the condo was ideal in terms of getting around the island. The condo itself was comfortable and nicely decorated. The kitchen had all we needed for cooking, including a variety of spices. The bed and pillows were also comfortable. All in all, we were extremely happy with our choice, and enthusiastically recommend this property to others who plan to visit Kaua’i.

Visited recently for a vacation with my small family. We've been to Kauai a few times, and always enjoy Lydgate park so wanted to be close. Kaha Lani is a well run, well maintained complex with mostly families. We didn't hear any loud music the whole week, and aside from the Ubiquitous Kauai roosters, it was just the waves and the breeze. The unit was spotless and even the pull out couch was comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. We stay in condos every year when we visit the Islands, and this one is top shelf. The communication from the mgmt was excellent before and during our stay, and they were responsive and flexible. I would not hesitate to stay here again, and would recommend it to anyone.

The apartment was really nice and exactly what we expected. The location is great, basically right at the beach, in walking distance from a Tiki bar and Lydgate Beach Park. Easy to reach from the Airport and right in the middle between the beautiful north part of the Island (Hanalai, Napali Coast - takes about 50 minutes drive) as well as the really cool Waimea canyon in the southwest (also takes about 50 minutes drive). All the cool beaches can be reached in 5-50 minutes. We enjoyed it.

Best place we have stayed in Kauai. View was unbelievable and location was quiet and close to everything. No a/c, but tradewindss and ceiling fans kept things comfortable. Minor items, kitchen lower corner cabinet needs attention along with outside of refrigerator. The condo was so nice it made these small items stick out. Would definitely stay here again.

What an East Kauai gem! Hadn’t been there before so “picked it” from the posted pictures. It is exactly as advertised!! The complex is small enough to remain intimate in the environment but the unit had it all! It’s a beautifully mature landscape off the busy roadway and it’s right on a beautiful swimmable beach and the sunrises are stunning!
Access is up lighted stairwells and there is no ac, but the ceiling fans and the ocean breezes made for a comfortable stay.
The grounds are flat and easy to walk. There is a great pool too.
Our unit had a keypad entry which was something I really liked. No need to worry about misplacing the key!
The front of the unit had a little seating area that faced The Sleeping Giant.
Beds were very comfortable. Shower had good power. The unit was clean and decorated well.

I would definitely recommend this as a future place to stay. I loved it!
Not anything to ruin the ambiance, ( maybe add to it!) the local Roosters do love to hear their voices! It’s part of the fun of Hawaii and didn’t bother me at all!
Some road work is being done on Hiway50 which made getting out in the morning before 1100 a bit tricky, but nothing like the traffic mess where I came from
The complex is halfway from Lihue and Hanalei. Next to beautiful beaches and fun spots to eat and feel local. Try Sam’s Oceanfront in Kapaa and The Beach House in Koloa.
The ruins of Cocoa Palm resort are right next to the highway.
Kauai Coffee puts on a great tour. The Spouting Horn on the Poipu end is a must.

We had an amazing time! Kauai is absolutely stunning. The view from the apartment is amazing and the location is perfect. You can watch the sunrise from the balcony or on the beach. Being East you have access to drive north or south without living in the busy places and there are waterfalls, hiking and kayaking nearby. The Kalalau trail and Waimea canyon were awesome.
The beach by the apartment is always quiet and the pool we often had to ourselves. The apartment has everything you need and is spacious and comfortable. Because of the breeze from the ocean you didn’t need AC!
The hosts and quick to respond and super friendly and informative.
We’ll definitely be back!

Great place! The view from the patio, overlooking Lydgate Beach, is just plain stellar. Found myself waking up early every morning to watch the sunrise. And the ocean sounds / cool breeze poring in as you drift to sleep (insert chef's kiss). The place is situated just far enough away from the highway to not hear any road noise, but close enough to not be inconvenient. There are a bunch of great restaurants / coffee shops within just a few mins drive of the place. Worth the stay! Thanks for sharing it.

This unit is perfect in many ways, and was just what we needed. It is centrally located in Lihue, minutes from the kayak and hike tour, fern grotto, helicopter rides, and many other attractions. It also is a relatively quick drive to the north shore and the south shore. The living room has the best view of the ocean it is just unbelievable and the couch pulls out to a bed so you can listen all night if you wish. Large TV with Netflix, Prime, Disney, and all the things available with your login. There is a TV in the bedroom as well. 2 bathrooms were very nice with such a small unit!! The kitchen had everything we looked for and more. We always had free parking day or night. We walked down to the beach many times and mostly had it to ourselves, not really a swimming beach but to walk on the super soft sand and put your feet in the water. I would definitely recommend.

We had a very enjoyable time at the Kahan Lani Resort, although it did take a few days to get used to the chickens calling out in the wee hours of the morning. The grounds were well kept; the pool was nice, and the condo was pleasant as well.

56 was the perfect place for me and my grandson and his fiancée to stay on our trip to Kauai. It was close enough for them to walk to Kalapaki Beach and central to the many attractions on this beautiful island. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you could need to prepare a meal, including many basic spices and other ingredients. Pillows were great. Individual A/C so everyone had their perfect sleeping temperature. The hot water was nice and HOT! Very comfortable for our little family. The handicapped parking was actually Right Outside the unit, which was terrific for my bad back and knees. We will stay again.

The apartment was clean and comfortable.

Great location, walking distance to Kalapakī Beach. Also well-located for trips around d the island both ways (Waimea, Hanalei, etc.). Would absolutely stay here again!

We stayed here for a week. There pool is on a hill that overlooks the beach and has a mountain view. It is a very close walk to the beach, ABC store, restaurants, and a great local gym! Plenty of parking when we stayed. Would recommend.

Stayed end of April to beginning of May. Nice and clean condo. Centrally located. Simply decorated. Kitchen had basic necessities to cook meals. There was a toaster. Rice cooker. Couple 9x13 pans. Pack ziplock bags (gallon quart sandwich) for leftovers etc. In unit washer dryer so nice to have. Beach towels and chairs provided. Nice to return from beach and turn on air conditioning.

Banyan Harbor had everything we needed for a lovely Kauai vacation - the condo is as advertised with a wonderful pool and a great location near the airport and town of Lihue. It was an easy home base for us to travel all around the island. Restaurants, shops, a local beach were within walking distance and we could see cruise ships come and go. It was a very comfortable home base for us, quiet, a lovely garden landscape off the lanai, our own flock of the famous chickens on the island. We very much enjoyed our visit!

Banyan Harbor #E56 - 2 Bedroom Condo ground floor, 2 bedroom, 2 bath

When I return to Kauai I will definitely stay in this unit if it is available. My family stayed here for a family event. We rented 5 units in the complex – This unit was the best of the 5. This unit has three (3) window A/C and ceiling fans- in living area in each bedroom. This was a BIG plus as it was very hot while we were there. The other units did not have this many A/Cs.

This is a corner unit and has 3 patios making it feel more open. The other units did not have 3 patios. This unit has a jungle lush back yard with chickens walking around which I really enjoyed. Other units did not have this backyard.

I booked with Garden Isle others booked through Vrbo. They paid substantially more because of the Vrbo fees. Garden Isle offered free early check-in, which was awesome after a 6 hour flight. The Vrbo units, early check in was not an option. One that had the option was an additional $100 for early check in fee.

The sliding door lock stopped working, I made a call to Garden Isle and it was fixed immediately.

Sheets were white and clean. Tile floor easy to sweep. Very clean and simple. Bathtubs in both bathrooms. Wifi, washer and dryer, beach chairs.

Perfect location so much to do. We had the BEST time... GREAT unit.

We will definitely be renting this unit again! Perfect for a family especially with small kids. Spacious 2 bedrooms with extremely comfortable beds. Having 2 bathrooms was a luxury! Large countertops and with tubs! Functional kitchen. Washer & dryer. Clean! Great garden view right outside your back door. Parking was convenient. Ground floor unit makes it easy with luggage. The pool was huge and the perfect temperature. 2 min drive to many great restaurants. Will definitely rent this unit again!!

Prior to our trip, Garden Islands was very responsive to all my questions and concerns. The 2 bedroom condo we stayed in was flawless. Clean with perfect layout appropriate for 2 couples to share. Additional items not mentioned were very useful to us: folding chairs, cooler... Nice Kitchen and outdoor areas. Simply amazing time!

Convenient and comfortable stay. Equipped with beach needs, easy access and beautiful surroundings. Only one concern was the bath room fan was very noisy and was connected to the light so we couldn't even turn it off. That was the only problem we ran into.

We rented this Apt (E56) through Airbnb and we were very satisfied. The place was charming and very clean. It was centrally located with shops and restaurants at walking distance. The beach is also right across the road from Banyan Harbor. We would definitely stay at this Apt.(E56) again. We were with other family who also stayed at Banyan harbor who weren’t as happy with their rental.
